There are almost no attractions in Chumphon. If you want to see something interesting here, you will have to drive around the province or even look into the neighboring ones. It is best to do this by rented transport, because the offers of travel agencies here are limited: They mainly offer snorkeling tours to the islands and sell transfers and tickets to other resorts in Thailand.

It is dedicated to the twenty-eighth child of King Rama V (Chulalongkorn) named Abhakara Kiartiwongsehe, born on December 19, 1880. He became an admiral, and thanks to his reforms is considered the father of the Thai navy. That is why he is very revered and loved by the people of the country, and monuments and memorials in his honor can be seen all over the country. For example, a statue on the hill of the observation deck in the resort Pattaya. But the fleet is not all his merits. He was also active in medicine and mysticism, and was even considered the embodiment of one of the 108 deities.
But back to the monument itself. For local residents, this place is very revered and almost sacred. Hot natural mineral water with a temperature of 55-56 degrees rises from the depths of the earth due to the presence of nearby mountains (the springs are located at the foot of one of the mountains).
