Snake Farm at the Queen Saovabha Memorial Institute is not at all the kind of place that tourists are taken to in Pattaya or Phuket. They don't show tricks with reptiles here in order to sell medicines and cosmetics to tourists. There is no mention of any rituals with drinking snake blood and eating its liver.
On this farm, reptiles are grown for medical purposes, they are carefully taken care of, and visitors are happy to tell about all this. Once a day, a "snake show" is held here at 14:30 on weekdays and at 11:00 on weekends. But the snakes here do not show tricks like on other farms, but instead a serpentarium worker shows how reptiles are cared for, how to handle them, and talks about the world of snakes. Of course, everything happens in English. And at 11:00 on weekdays you can see how they are "milked", i.e. the poison is extracted. But even if you don't get to one of the actions in time, it's interesting and informative here without it. You can get acquainted with different types of snakes, read information about them, and watch a documentary in English about how to handle these poisonous creatures, safety measures, and first aid methods.

From 09:30 to 15:30 seven days a week. The snake show is at 14:30 on weekdays, 11:00 on weekends. Extraction of poison only on weekdays at 11:00.

The farm is located in the city center in Siam district (farm on the map). Sam Yan and Silom underground metro stations, Sala Daeng Skytrain station, and Lumpini Park are within walking distance (see Bangkok Metro).
