Phaya Thai Palace is almost unknown to tourists, but it is a very important place for Thais. The fact is that the palace houses an exhibition dedicated to the life of the much-loved King Rama IX Bhumibol Adulyadej. She tells about his life, starting from birth and ending with death. There are almost no exhibits and furnishings here, everything is very modest. But there is a special fascinating atmosphere: in silence, Thais, as if fascinated, move from one information board to another, lovingly looking at photos and reading stories from the life of the king. It is the information boards with signatures in Thai and English that form the basis of the exhibition. Interestingly, there are several documents and photos directly related to modern Russia. If you are lucky, then at the entrance you will be given a brochure with a set of beautiful photos, though all in Thai.
As for the palace itself, it is very modest, although it is executed with taste. It was built in 1909 by order of Rama V for the royal family, but it was used only until 1920, after which it was emptied. At one time they tried to convert it into a hotel, then a radio station, a military hospital and a civilian clinic worked here.

The palace is located in the Phaya Thai district near the city center (palace on the map). You can get there by metro to Victory Monument station, and then 15 minutes on foot. The palace is not marked with any signs, so it is best to navigate by the navigator. It is located on the territory of the hospital behind the fence.
