Sochi Arboretum – this is one of the most visited places by tourists in central Sochi, which should definitely be included in your stay program. Even if you are not vacationing in the center, but, for example, in Adler, Khost, Sirius, Lazarevsky and others resorts of Greater Sochi it is still worth coming here during the day and taking a walk in the park.
On the territory of the arboretum you can see traditional for the climatic zone of Russia and exotic plant species from around the world. As stated, there are more than 1 800 species, forms and varieties of tree and shrub species, 74 species of Pines, 66 species of Oaks, 54 species of Palms, cypresses, rare species of tropical and subtropical plants. The flora collection for inspection is organized as separate themed courtyards. For example, there is a Cypress Alley, a bamboo grove, a Japanese garden and others. Some exotic plant species are signed, but there is no detailed information about them, only names. There is also a mini-dolmen, a pump room with drinking water, a pavilion with exotic birds. In the lower park there is a mini-aquarium with exotic inhabitants, the entrance to it is paid additionally-100 rubles. And there are many squirrels here, they can be fed.
Also here is the Villa-Museum "Villa Nadezhda". It was built in 1899 as the center of the then new park of exotic plants. The villa offers guided tours to 11:40, 13:20, 15:10 and 16.30, or you can see it without a tour at any time. Entrance to the villa is paid extra.
The arboretum covers an area of more than 46 hectares, which is 46 times larger than a standard football field. Consists of two parts: upper and lower, which are separated by a highway. Both parts of the park are visited by one entrance ticket, and you can get from one to the other through the transition under the road. Since the park is located on a slope, from the ticket offices to the top of the park will have a lot to go up. Facilitate this fate allows the cable car, which in just a couple of minutes and 500 rubles will deliver to the top. But in our opinion, this is unnecessary and the rise is clearly not worth the money.
To see the whole park, you will have to walk around it for a long time, so you should plan to visit a few hours, and preferably half a day. Take drinking water with you, and in sunny weather, sun protection, glasses, headgear. In the park there is a paid toilet (15 USD), and free at the entrance. For the convenience of inspection and beauty, pedestrian paths, gazebos for recreation, fountains, benches are equipped. Unfortunately, the infrastructure of the park is in a deplorable state: pedestrian paths are dilapidated, gazebos and benches require repair, there are no maps and signs. Apps with Yandex maps or others on your smartphone can help you navigate during the inspection.

from 09:00 to 19:00, seven days a week, ticket office until 18:00. In high season, in the middle of the day, the park is crowded with tourists, large queues gather at the entrance and at the ticket office, so it is better to visit it from the moment of opening.

adults - 320 rubles, children 7-14 years - 150 rubles, up to 7 years - free. Visiting together with villa "reliable" adults - 400 rubles, children 7-14 years – 200 rubles, up to 7 years - free of charge.
🚶 How to get there
located on the outskirts of Central Sochi at Kurortny Prospekt, 74, formally it is the territory of the Khostinsky district (Arboretum entrance on the map. The main entrance and ticket offices are located on Kurortny Prospekt.

From the center of Sochi to the Arboretum about 4 kilometers, which can be overcome by taxi from 200 rubles. You can use city buses: there are many flights from the center in the direction of Adler, the fare depending on the distance from 28 rubles.

From Adler, Sirius and hosts can also be reached by almost any bus towards the center, but note that some express trains do not stop near the arboretum. You can clarify this before boarding the driver.

From the resorts located north of the center (Lazarevskoye, Loo, Dagomys, etc.), you will have to get with transfers. It is most convenient to get to the railway station of Sochi by train, and there transfer to the bus directly to the arboretum.
