True, in some places the ascents are very steep, the path passes over stones and between rocks, so comfortable shoes and good physical shape will not hurt. In no case should you climb to the very top in beach slippers, otherwise you can get injured. If you do not have enough strength, you can not climb to the top, but go only part of the way to one of the natural viewing platforms. The Climb takes 20-60 depending on the chosen end point, and the height of the highest point is 350 meters. On the way, be sure to look into the tunnels, but it's cool there, in the depth of 5-6℃, so dress warmly and do not forget the flashlight.
Visiting the mountain is paid. You can stay in your tent in a tent camp at the foot of the mountain, or you can move a little further along the road, and settle right on the banks of the Volga. 🚶 How to get there: Camel Mountain is located three kilometers from the center of the village of Shiryaevo, 145 kilometers by road from Samara, and 75 from Togliatti (Camel mountain on the map. An excellent asphalt road leads to the village of Shiryaevo. In the center of the village in the information center of the park it is necessary to purchase a ticket to visit, and then drive through the village along Sovetskaya Street, at the end of which the restricted zone begins. There is no control at the entrance, but the patrols check the permits already inside, so get a ticket for sure, otherwise – a fine. At the end of Sovetskaya Street begins a narrow dirt road along the Volga, designed for the movement of only one car, sidings for two cars meet at intervals. The road is very rocky, you need to go along it slowly, it will take 20 minutes to overcome 3 kilometers. Any car can drive, including in rainy weather, but care must be taken, otherwise you can damage the bottom of the car on the stones. You can also get here by bus. To do this, you must first get to the city of Zhigulevsk (from Samara and Togliatti buses run very often).
