In various sources and guidebooks, the local Duong Dong market (Cho Duong Dong, Duong Dong Market) and night market in Duong Dong is often mistaken for one – night market of Phu Quoc. However, these are different places, they specialize in different products, and they work at different times. Duong Dong market, which will be discussed, is a day market for locals, an interesting and original place. Everyday products are sold here: fruits, vegetables, greens, meat, fish, shellfish, reptiles (snakes, toads). The range of food products is diverse.
For tourists, this market will be interesting and useful in terms of buying fruits, vegetables, spices. Unlike the tourist market, fruit prices are much lower, for example, a kilogram of mango starts from 10,000 VND. But finding ready-made dishes here will not work.
You can't call it clean, there's also that exoticism and unsanitary conditions. The products are literally on the ground, and vehicles and people are constantly driving along the narrow alleys, so you need to be careful and keep your eyes open. However, if you manage to get here, then be sure to take a walk and feel the local flavor.

The local Duong Dong market is located in the very center of the city on Duong Tran Phu Street and stretches along it for 2 kilometers from the bridge to the north (Local market on the map). It is most convenient to come here on a rented motorbike, then it will be possible to drive across the street and stop where it is interesting. You can't drive here by car.
