Quick response: The most optimal way is direct flight from Hanoi to Phu Quoc (2 hours). An alternative is a flight via Ho Chi Minh City with a quick landing or overnight stay. And land-based options (train+ bus + ferry) take 2-3 days and are recommended only for adventurers.
✈ Direct flight Hanoi – Phu Quoc
This is the best way to travel without alternative. There are regular direct flights between Hanoi (HAN) and Phu Quoc (PQC).

How to get from Phu Quoc Airport to the hotel
There are several ways to get to your hotel from Phu Quoc Airport.
- 🚖 Taxi (Grab): The most convenient way. Ordering through the Grab app fixes the cost. A trip to Long Beach will cost from 100 000 – 150 000 VND.
- 🚌 Free bus VinBus: A great option, but not suitable for everyone, as it will not take you to the door of the hotel and does not go to all resorts. Routes No. 17 and No. 19 follow from the airport along the main beach of Long Beach and the main resort areas. Timetables and route maps for official website.
- 🛵 Rent a motorcycle: If you are a confident driver, you can rent a bike right at the airport (from 120,000 VND / day) and leave on it.

The route through Ho Chi Minh City is an alternative option
If direct flights are sold out, too expensive or do not fit according to schedule, then you can consider an alternative option via Ho Chi Minh City. It can be more profitable, especially with an overnight stay in Ho Chi Minh City. Moreover, there are options to do the entire route through Ho Chi Minh City by plane, or combine a flight with a trip on the ground by bus, train, and even a ferry to Phu Quoc:
