Linh Long Buddhist Temple (Linh Long Pagoda) is located in Mui Ne Village. It is notable for the fact that it is considered the oldest of the local temples, it is already more than 200 years old. Inside the pagoda, several artifacts have been preserved – ancient gongs, tables and chairs with unique carvings.
Linh Long Temple was founded in 1811 and built of bamboo and wood nearby. It was moved to the place where it is today in 1851 and rebuilt from more durable materials. In addition to visiting the pagoda itself, statues of Buddha and goddess Kuan-am and colorful towers, you can take a leisurely stroll through the beautiful blooming park with scenes from the life of the Buddha. The highlight will be the statue of the reclining Buddha from where you can see the sea, the harbor and the nearby Catholic Church with interesting architecture.
There is a legend that earlier in the place where the temple is located today, there was a pond and a forest inhabited by birds and wild animals. Tigers were often seen near the pond, who came to him to get drunk. And one day the villagers saw this picture: one of the tigers, having drunk from the pond, sat down on a large stone, enjoying the rays of the sun. It impressed people so much that they built a temple here.

🚶 How to get there
The temple is located in the village of Mui Ne in its geographical center, but it is not in the same place as the local market of Muine, and further inland (temple on the map). The most convenient way to get here is by rented transport, but there is no problem to take the city bus No. 1 to the market, and from there 10 minutes on foot.
