Da Nang Museum (Museum of Danang) is something like our local history museums. Here you can see a lot of interesting things and learn about the history of the city and the central part of Vietnam, but in popularity and fame it is inferior to the Museum of Cham Sculpture. However, in our opinion, it is much more interesting than the Cham Museum and therefore we definitely recommend visiting it.
The Da Nang Museum has reopened again and moved from the pyramid-shaped building where it operated from 2011 to a new building at a different address. Some sources still indicate its old location and address, do not confuse them. We visited the museum once again now in the new building and provide accurate information.
The Da Nang Museum is located in a modern and very spacious building. Inside there are more than 2500 exhibits in the form of photographs, antique items, archaeological finds. Some exhibitions show entire scenes from the life of the people of central Vietnam. The historical range of the museum is from the most ancient times to the present day. You can try to find among the exhibits several items from the USSR and modern Russia, and these are not only weapons.
All exhibits have detailed captions in English, and an information brochure is given at the entrance. Undoubtedly, this is a worthy place to visit, it will be interesting for both children and adults.

🚶 How to get there
The museum is located in the central part of Da Nang at the new address 31 Tran Phu Street (Da Nang Museum on the map). It is more than 3 kilometers to walk there from the hotel and beach area, so it is better to use a taxi or city buses No. 5, 7, 9, 12.
