Where to choose a hotel on Koh Tao, beaches

Almost all hotels on the island of Tao are located near the shore on the beaches or very close to them. Depending on your wishes, you can choose a hotel or other accommodation on a popular beach with lots of entertainment, or in a secluded quiet place.

• Mae Haad Beach

  This bay is located on the east coast. This is a great quiet place for those who need a secluded holiday. Apart from hotels and the beach there is practically nothing here. Remember this when you choose a hotel here. The place is not cheap.

  There are several more beaches and coves with hotels on the island. All of them are perfect for a secluded beach holiday, but there is practically no infrastructure there. If the availability of tourist infrastructure and inexpensive food nearby is important to you (it's quite expensive to eat in hotels), and at the same time you want to be isolated, then choose a beach near one of the popular ones.
