Description and is it worth a visit
Souvenir Market is one of the few places in Kanchanaburi where you can go to "have fun" during the day. This is a fairly large market where you can find a surprisingly large selection of souvenirs, and many of them can only be bought here. Magnets with symbols of Kanchanaburi province, T-shirts, baseball caps, musical instruments, notebooks, toys, purses, umbrellas, what not here. You can also find very specific souvenirs that are produced only in this province. A special product on the market is jewelry and precious and semiprecious stones, which, according to sellers, are smuggled from Myanmar (formerly Burma). But it's worth buying expensive jewelry here only if you are really well versed in it, otherwise it's easy to run into a craft or low-quality product.
Of course, as in any market, there are many cafes and stalls with food. There is also a wholesale souvenir shop of the OTOP network. The choice in it is not very large, but souvenirs are of higher quality. On the side of Mae Nam Kwai Street there is a currency exchange office with the best exchange rate in the city.
