Description and is it worth a visit
The Kra Sae Cave and Bridge are also called Tham Kra Sae Bridge & Cave or Krasae Cave Dangerous Curve. The place is unique and unusual, and definitely worth a visit if you drive past in the direction of Nam Tok railway station, to the waterfalls and hot springs of Sai Yok National Park, or in Hellfire Pass Museum. In this place, the historical railway is laid on a steep, sometimes even steep cliff along the river. Like the whole road, this place was built by prisoners of war prisoners of the Japanese army during World War II. The way the road is built and fixed to the rock is simply terrifying: it is supported by wooden piles and supports fastened with rusty bolts. But the most amazing thing is that a train with passengers passes through it six times a day. By the way, you may be among them if you decide to drive from Kanchanaburi to the last station of the Thai-Burmese Nam Tok road.
In between train movements, you can walk along the bridge right on the sleepers, take beautiful photos of the river from the cliff (there are viewing platforms), and visit the temple in the Tham Kra Sae cave. This cave is also unique – the entrance to it is in the rock, and you can get there only by this bridge. The depth of the cave is small, and usually tourists are limited to inspecting the large hall where the temple is located. But you can go further behind the temple through a narrow passage for several tens of meters, until you come to a very narrow passage, from where the smell of sulfur and ammonia can be heard. Be careful, don't stay there too long.

🚶 How to get there
The bridge and the cave are located 50 kilometers from the city of Kanchanaburi (bridge on the map) on the way to Nam Tok railway station, Sai Yok National Park, and the Fellfire Pass Museum. You can only get here by rented transport or by train. By rented transport, you can drive up to the bridge from any side, but it is more convenient to do it from the north side, because this way is shorter, and there are shopping malls and parking.
You need to take the train to Lumsum station. It takes a little more than an hour to drive from Kanchanaburi, trains depart to 6:07, 10:35, 16:26. Back trains go to 06:00, 13:40, 16:13. The fare is 100 baht (3 USD, see Thailand's currency and exchange rate). You can combine a visit to the bridge with a trip from Kanchanaburi to Nam Tok Station or to other attractions along this route. You can check the train timetable here - https://www.railway.co.th
