Description and is it worth a visit
Ban Kao National Museum is located in a small provincial village, where you never expect to see such a museum. It presents a good collection of artifacts found during excavations in Kanchanaburi province, and most of them were discovered during the construction of the Thailand-Burma railway by prisoners of war during World War II. The exhibits date back to prehistoric periods since the Stone Age.

🚶 How to get there
The museum is located in the small village of Ban Kao, 25 kilometers from the provincial capital (museum on the map). You can only get here by taxi or rented transport.
