Description and is it worth a visit
If you still don't know what night markets are in Thailand and what they are interesting for tourists, read this article "Night markets of Thailand". Kanchanaburi also has a night market, although not as "tourist" as other more popular resorts. It is located near the Kanchanaburi railway station, and most of it is occupied by traditional consumer goods in the form of women's clothing, T-shirts, simple electronics.
But for foreign tourists, traditionally the most interesting part of the night market is street food, of which there is plenty. Here you can find everything from ready-to-eat rice dishes to fried insects. There are no tables for eating everything you buy here, so you'll have to eat on the go or at the hotel. Alcoholic beverages are not sold here. There are no entertainment programs here, only trade.
🕐 Working hours
The night market starts after 18 hours, and works until midnight.
💵Entrance fee / ticket price
Free of charge.
🚶 How to get there
The night market is located on the main city street Sangchuto Roard and within walking distance from the city's railway station (market on the map). You can get here from the tourist street Kanchanaburi on foot or by taxi, and from the bridge over the riverKwai and the bus station by minibus songthaew for 10 baht (0.3 USD, see Thailand's currency and exchange rate).
