Description and is it worth a visit
Asiatique Riverfront is a recreation, entertainment and shopping area on the banks of the Chaopraya River in the Riverside district. There is also a small amusement park with Thailand's tallest Ferris wheel Asiatique Sky 60 meters high (about 20 floors), offering great views of the city and the river.
Like many other similar places in Bangkok, Asiatica was conceived as a zone where guests and residents of the city can recover to relax from the hustle and bustle of the city in a relaxed atmosphere, eat at one of the local restaurants, go shopping and have some fun. Moreover, the place was chosen not by chance: Asiatica is located in the historical part of Bangkok on the site of the former pier and warehouse of the East Asian trading company. The architecture and decoration of the buildings of the modern complex are based on ancient buildings, so this space also includes cultural heritage, original colonial buildings, restored and converted into restaurants, boutiques and galleries, add a touch of historical charm.
Asiatica also attracts with its culinary diversity. Here you can taste a variety of Thai and world cuisine: from traditional pad Thai to gourmet seafood. There are also bars and restaurants with live music where you can relax and enjoy the cozy atmosphere.

🚶 How to get there
The Asiatique Riverfront Promenade and the Asiatique Sky Ferris Wheel are located on the banks of the Chaopraaya River in the Riverside district (Asiatique on the map). It is relatively far from the center of Bangkok and the tourist area of Khao San, but it will not be difficult to get here.:
- From any place in Bangkok where there is a metro, you can get directly or with transfers to the Saphan Taksin skytrain station. From this station you need to go to the Sathorn pier of scheduled boats on the Chaopraya River (it's literally a couple of minutes on foot), and from there to Asiatica to sail on a free shuttle boat that runs from 16:00 to 23:30 every 25-30 minutes. If you do not want to wait for the boat, then you can go to the Thanon Charoeng Krung road, and there take the non-conditioned city bus No. 1 for just 8 baht (approximately 0.24 USD, see the currency of Thailand and its exchange rate).
- From the tourist Khao San Road district, from The Grand Royal Palace, Temple of the Dawn Wat Arun, Temple of the Reclining Buddha Wat Pho everything is even simpler: get on the pier on a regular boat under the orange flag towards the Sathorn pier, and sail it to The final pier is Wat Rat Singkhon, from where Asiatica is a 5-minute walk away.
