Description and is it worth a visit
In the complex of royal palaces Dusit Palace (this is the current residence of the King of Thailand) in the most prominent place there is a beautiful palace - the Throne Room of Ananda-Samakhom, and a green park around it. Sometimes it is used for royal ceremonies or receptions, but most of the time it is open to tourists as a museum.
Most often, tourists simply inspect the palace from the outside, walk around the park around it, but do not go inside. And very in vain. In our opinion (the authors of the site) – this is one of the best and full of interesting exhibits of museums in Bangkok, and perhaps the only place where you can get so close to the royal family. The palace is magnificent both from the outside and from the inside, decorated with precious woods, semi-precious stones. But the most important thing is not the interior, but the exhibits. A rich collection of items related to the royal family is on display here. These are expensive furniture, models of boats, jewelry, dishes, works of art and much more. All these items were donated to the royal family, or collected by its members, and for the most part by Queen Sikirit. There are gifts, including from Russia. An audio guide is offered for inspection, including in Russian, which tells in detail about each of the exhibits.
There is a strict dress code for entering the palace: no short skirts, shorts, open shoulders. If you come here in an inappropriate way, you will have to buy capes at the entrance for 150 baht. It is better to set two hours for a visit, although 40 minutes will be enough for a cursory inspection. Photography inside is strictly prohibited!

🚶 How to get there
The museum is located near the tourist center at 71 Uthong Nai Alley (museum on the map). But this is not a very convenient place for tourists, since there is no metro nearby. From Khaosan tourist area you can get here on foot, though you will have to walk 3 kilometers. Another option is to take a boat along the Chaopraya River and get off at pier No. 15 Thewej, but you will have to walk two kilometers from the pier. You can also take buses No.70 (coming from Democracy Monument near Khao San Road), No. 5, No.72 (from Pratunam District), No. 503 (from Democracy Monument near Khaosan Road, and from Chatuchak Market), No. 28 (from Chatuchak Market and Victory Monument), No. 18 (from Victory Monument), No. 125 (from Victory Monument).
