Description and is it worth a visit
Suan Pakkad House Museum (Suan Pakkad) was opened by members of the royal family, namely, Prince Chumbhotongs Paribatra (also Prince Nakhon Sawan II, Chumbhotbongs Paribatra). Initially it was a family residence, but in 1952 the prince and his wife decided to open it to the people, and formed a museum.
In fact, this is a museum-estate with a well-groomed green area, an old wooden house and even older buildings adjacent to it (a total of 8 houses). The oldest building is more than 450 years old.
For some reason, almost none of the tourists knows this place, although it's safe to say that it's no less interesting here than in the famous Jim Thompson House Museum. Inside there is a collection of works of art, furniture, utensils, musical instruments, historical artifacts. Objectively, the collection of exhibits here is larger and more interesting than in the Jim Thompson Museum. When visiting, you need to hand over bags and backpacks to the storage room. You can walk around the territory and houses on your own, but, unfortunately, you can't take pictures indoors.
