How to see the whole of Bangkok for free

Bangkok is a very inexpensive city. It is known all over the world as the place with the cheapest five-star hotels and the cheapest taxi. Of course, because you can drive through almost the entire huge city in an air-conditioned taxi car for 200 baht (see currency of Thailand, exchange rate). But there is an opportunity to watch almost the entire Bangkok for a penny, moreover, from a bird's-eye view. We are talking about one feature of the Bangkok skytrain.

In total, there are three metro systems in Bangkok. We are interested in the BTS Skytrain or Skytrain, which beautifully translates as "Sky Train". Its routes are laid above the ground at a height of about 5 to 10 floors. Platforms and walkways are also high. All this allows you to see the beauty and grandeur of this city without even logging out.

Payment for the subway in Bangkok is made depending on the distance traveled, i.e. from a specific station to some other specific station. When you buy a ticket, you name the station you need to get to (this is done at the ticket office or at the vending machine), and you get a ticket in the form of a card. After passing through the turnstile using this card, you will be able to exit through the turnstile on the platform only at the station to which you bought the ticket. This means that you can buy the cheapest ticket for 16 baht to the next station, but ride along the entire metro network (and there are two lines here) and get out of the car onto the platform at any station. The only thing you can't do is get off the platform and you can't stay in the system for more than 120 minutes, otherwise when you exit you will be fined as much as 40 baht! Well, when you roll up, you can go to the station to which you bought the ticket, and it goes out there.
