But to go to the Eagle Rocks during the passage of the ring route along the nearby Agur Gorge is definitely worth it, especially since the gorge is best visited in the form of a ring route through the rocks. And the best view of the rocks opens from the path along the gorge. You can both start a circular route along the gorge here, and finish it. A well-known legend is associated with Eagle Rocks. It is believed that it was to these rocks that the ancient Greek gods chained Prometheus, because he stole fire from the gods and gave it to people.
So, Eagle Rocks is a viewing point at an altitude of 379 meters above a sharp cliff in the Agur gorge 125 meters high. From here you can enjoy views of the surrounding area and Mount Ahun with its observation tower. There is also a simple cafe serving hot dishes, tea, alcohol. After passing the ring route along the Agur gorge, it is good to sit and relax, drink tea or hot mulled wine. The cafe is decorated with a "golden" sculpture of Prometheus, which has also become a kind of attraction and a place for photographing.
Next to the cafe, a little lower on the sheer cliff of the cliff is a small cave consisting of one Hall, which can be visited by paying 150 rubles. The interesting thing here is not even the cave itself, but the way to get to it by a metal ladder fixed on a sheer rock. It looks dangerous and extreme, but all precautions are observed there.

according to the established local tradition, for the entrance to something interesting, tourists in Sochi are charged by official institutions or individuals. For the passage to the Eagle Rocks, cafes and the sculpture of Prometheus, they charge 250 rubles, children are allowed to pass for free. To do this, a barrier in the form of a cable is installed on the road and a person is sitting who collects money without issuing tickets. But on the other hand, after going to the Eagle Rocks you can get to the official route of the Sochi National Park Agur gorge from the reverse side of the "hare" for free, so it seems like everything is fair. But if in principle you do not want to pay private traders, then you can easily collect money along the path through the forest.
🚶 How to get there
Eagle Rocks and Prometheus are located in Khostinsky district in Matsesta, 12 kilometers from the center of Sochi and 20 kilometers from Adler (Eagle Rocks and Prometheus on the map).
The easiest way to get here is by car. Almost to the cafe leads asphalt and narrow concrete. Theoretically, any car will pass along it, but the last kilometer will have to go steeply up, so in wet weather or with a slippery surface in winter, not all cars will be able to pass. But in fact this is not a problem, since you can leave the car lower on the side of the road and walk further. If you get to the very top, then the car can be parked for free almost at the cafe.
By public transport, you can take buses No. 48, 50, 105, 105c, 125p, 125C to the stop "Sanatorium "Green Grove", or No. 2, 48, 115 to the stop "Sputnik".
