Bolshaya Pokrovskaya Street, "Pokrovka", "Nizhny Novgorod Arbat" or "Broadway" - the main pedestrian zone of Nizhny Novgorod and the center of attraction of tourists. It connects four squares at once - Minin and Pozharsky, Teatralnaya, Gorky and Lyadov and runs from the Gorkovskaya metro station to the Kremlin. In general, Bolshaya Pokrovskaya Street is not pedestrian throughout its entire length, but for most of its length 1 kilometer 300 meters, traffic is prohibited. Only in a couple of places in this zone it is crossed by road transport, but drivers delicately pass all idly walking pedestrians, without creating any inconvenience.
Historically, this street was considered noble, and ordinary people could not walk along it. This street forms the historical appearance of the city, and if there is anywhere to walk in Nizhny in the evenings, so here.
