Local History Museum of Pitsunda is part of the complex "great Pitiunt", and is located in the building of the monastery of the XIX century on the territory of the complex. The modest exposition of the museum, consisting of architectural finds, frescoes, icons, paintings tells about the history of the region and the city. Objectively, the museum is very old and unkempt, everything is literally falling apart, but since the cost of visiting it is already included in the ticket to great Pitiunt, then, of course, it is worth going here.
🕐 Working hours: the Museum and architectural reserve "big Pitiunt" are open daily from 10:00 to 19:00.
💵 Entrance fee / tickets price: admission to the museum is not paid separately, you need to purchase a ticket to the architectural reserve "big Pitiunt", which includes a visit to the museum. Tickets are purchased before entering the Grand Pityunt. The cost for adults is 100 rubles, children 6-12 years – 50 rubles. Up to 6 years free of charge.
🚶 How to get there: the museum is located on the territory of the architectural Reserve "Bolshoy Pitiunt", which, in turn, is located in the center of Pitsunda (temple on the map). See more about the Great Pitiunt and how to get to it.
