Holidays in Pitsunda

Pitsunda can be called the most comfortable place to stay in Abkhazia. This applies both to Pitsunda itself and to the nearby villages and resorts that are traditionally considered part of Pitsunda. In our opinion (the authors of the site) this is the only place in Abkhazia where the spirit and comfort of the resort town is really felt: clean and well-groomed, with a developed tourist infrastructure. Of course, there is also enough devastation here, but at least it is not on the same scale as, for example, in Gagra, and it is felt that at least some order is being brought.

Almost the entire coast here is beaches. Mostly they are pebbly and small-pebbled, in the east of the city in the Bay of Pitsunda Bay, the beaches gradually become mixed sand and pebbles (the village of Agarki and Golden Bay). Further in the Bay of Musser is a small-pebble beach. Nevertheless, for a beach holiday it is worth taking with you special beach shoes for swimming, because without it it is very painful to go into the water on large pebbles, what can we say about games on the beach. The water is very clear, and the depth and entry into the water are comfortable, not too sharp. On land, there are also excellent conditions: the entire coast is surrounded by greenery, beautiful slender cypresses and Pitsunda Pine of the famous Pitsunda Pine Grove.

As for the infrastructure, all the conditions for recreation are available here, but do not expect from Pitsunda the level of the resort of the world, or even the Russian level. There are many hotels and boarding houses, guest houses and the private sector, but objectively it is worth saying that the price does not always correspond to quality.
