Starfish beach Starfish Beach (Starfish Beach) is one of the most picturesque sights of Phu Quoc, and perhaps even the most beautiful beach on the island. In our opinion, it is definitely worth visiting here. You can get here by rented transport or as part of a sightseeing tour of the island, including a visit to this beach. True, there are features when visiting, everyone is trying to get divorced for paid boating, but in fact you can visit Starfish Beach completely free of charge. Now we'll tell you about everything.
Starfish Beach is perhaps the most popular and hyped place of all the tourist locations in Phu Quoc. There is no tourist area for living here, it is a tourist attraction, a place to travel for a few hours or for the whole day. It has earned its popularity for a reason: there is snow-white sand, very clear water and an abundance of large starfish. There are hundreds of starfish here, all of them lying on the bottom close to the shore. You can look at them through clear water for hours, and swimming in warm clean water here is just a pleasure.
The beach is equipped with a photo zone for beautiful photos, there is a modest cafe where you can buy soft drinks. But take food and snacks with you. For 50,000 VND you can rent a sunbed and an umbrella, but there are not many of them and there may not be enough for everyone, especially when a group of tourists comes with excursions, so it makes sense to bring your own towel or bedding.
You can visit the starfish beach with an excursion in a tour group, and this is how most holidaymakers get here. But the problem is that excursions, especially group ones, give very little time to relax, so you will barely have time to look at the starfish here and take some beautiful photos. Important! Treat the starfish carefully, do not get their water!!! They cannot breathe oxygen, being out of the water for even 3 seconds (and photo shoots take much longer) leads to the death of the asterisk.

🚶 How to get there
Starfish Beach is located in the north of the island away from tourist areas, it is generally one of the most remote places (Starfish beach on the map). For example, it's 30 kilometers from Long Beach here, it's about an hour's drive. Moreover, the road leading here for the last 8 kilometers is very bad, not every driver will drive along it in a car in bad weather. There are no problems driving a motorbike. At the end of 2024, the road was repaired here in sections, asphalt was laid, so it's possible that when you visit Starfish Beach, the road will already be made.
The main point to which almost all tourists go to get to this location is the pier in the village (marina to Starfish Beach on the map). There is conditional parking here and they offer to rent a boat for a group or put you in a shared boat. All boats are private, and therefore the price is negotiable. If you come with an excursion from a travel agency, then the boat is already included in the price. If you arrive on your own, then you will be immediately surrounded by "touts" with an offer to use their boat. Prices can offer from 500,000 VND per person, but the real price is no more than 100,000 VND per person in a shared boat.
If you are not ready to pay so much, then you can easily get to the beach with starfish completely free of charge . Do not believe everyone who will tell you that this is impossible. We were also told that ten times, but we got there without any problems. To do this, you do not need to go to the pier, but you need to turn right before reaching it 200 meters. After this turn, it will be possible to drive another 1.6 kilometers by motorbike, and a little less by car – 1.3 kilometers to the bridge over the stream. Then you will have to walk along the path along the coast for 1 kilometer or 1.3 kilometers, respectively, and you will get to the beach with starfish. You need to go strictly to the point that is marked on our map, these are verified real coordinates.
