Description and is it worth a visit
Stream and waterfall Suoi Tien (Suoi Tien), aka Fairy spring is a natural attraction in Phu Quoc, a beautiful and almost secluded place where you can relax, sunbathe and swim in the refreshing clear water of the stream, filled from underground springs. This is one of the cool low-tourist places on the island, which we definitely recommend to visit to all lovers of little-traveled tourist routes. Groups of tourists are not brought here, and therefore mostly independent travelers who are ready to rent transport get there.
Suoi Tien is located in the Phu Quoc National Park and consists of rock slabs and boulders, between which a small stream with mini waterfalls flows. In shallow natural stone bowls it is quite possible to swim, and in the shade of trees - to hide from the heat. Suoi Tien is one of the residents' favorite places for outdoor recreation and family picnics, and for tourists it is also an opportunity to stroll through the rainforest.
The stream is easily accessible, the path from the parking lot through the forest is not difficult, wide, it will not be possible to lose your way. Walk to the stream no more than 10 minutes. Along the way, the singing of cicadas is deafening, which adds some mystery to the walk. If you go higher and to the left along the stream, you will reach the end point - a small waterfall.
To get to the stream you will have to go to a private area. Parking is organized there for a nominal fee, and it is also considered a conditional entrance fee to the reserve. There is also a cafe with drinks, by agreement they can cook chicken dishes.
Useful information to visit:
- During the dry period (from January to April), the water level may drop significantly, so you will only have to be content with a walk through the forest.
- Since the place is popular among locals, there is a lot of garbage. If you decide to have a snack here and spend more time, please take the trash with you.
- There are no signs on the way to this place, so use Google navigation maps or Organic Maps.

🚶 How to get there
Suoi Tien Creek and waterfall is located away from tourist areas in a sparsely populated part of the island among forests (Suoi Tien on the map). There is not even a normal asphalt road here, part of the way will have to go along a dirt road, and in bad weather through puddles and mud. Not to say that off-road leads directly here, but still, in our opinion, you can get here by car only in dry weather. It is possible to ride a motorbike at any time. You need to use the navigator to go to the point that is indicated on our map, this is the entrance to the route and parking. You can call in from both the east and west coasts.
An application for a taxi ride through the Grab or Maxim applications is unlikely to be accepted in such a wilderness, so if you are not ready to rent a transport, but you want to get here, you will have to negotiate with taxi drivers on the street or hire a car with a driver from travel agencies.
