It seems that it should definitely be cheaper than an airplane, but the problem is that it is very difficult to do it in one day. After all, you need to arrive at the ferry pier in Ratja before about 3 p.m., and all this by bus with a transfer in Ho Chi Minh City. If you do not have time, you will be stuck for the night, and this is an additional cost for the hotel, and you will lose the night at the hotel in Phu Quoc if you book and pay for it in advance.
