Dinh Cau Temple (Dinh Cau Temple) and the lighthouse (Dinh Cau Lighthouse) are one of the popular and few attractions of Duong Dong, the capital of Phu Quoc. The temple and the lighthouse are located next to each other, in fact it is one place, therefore they are visited together.
The Din Kau Temple and lighthouse were built in 1937 as a single complex for worship. The temple is small, but significant for local residents, because it is dedicated to the goddess of the sea Tien Hau, who protects and protects fishermen and sailors. From the observation deck of the temple, you can watch sunsets and views of the bay, and after bypassing it, walk along the pier. And the locals, and especially the fishermen, come here to worship and bring offerings for the goddess.
The temple is located on the waterfront with benches for relaxation, palm trees and fishing boats at the pier. Perhaps it's not worth going here from afar specifically for the sake of the lighthouse and the temple, but if you get acquainted with the main city of Phu Quoc Duong Dong, then it will be nice to see them and, in addition, walk along the embankment, especially in the evening, at sunset. There is free parking in front of the temple.

Daily, from 7:30 to 20:00. It is convenient to visit the temple in the evening before sunset, so that after sunset you can continue walking through the Duong Dong Evening Market, which is just a 10-minute walk from here.

🚶 How to get there
The Dinh Kau Temple and the lighthouse are located at the pier and promenade in the main city of Phu Quoc Duong Dong almost in the very center of the city (Dinh Kau Temple and lighthouse on the map). From other resorts and from the beaches of Phu Quoc, you can get here by rented transport or taxi, there is free parking in front of the temple. You can also get to the center of Duong Dong by local buses No. 17 and No. 19 and walk a little to the temple on foot.
