Ho Chi Minh City Square and the old Airport (Ho Chi Minh Square) is a brand new attraction in Phu Quoc, located in the center of Duong Dong in the area of the former airport. So far, few people know about it, because the grandiose monument was opened on May 19, 2024, the birthday of the outstanding Vietnamese leader. But to be honest, for most tourists this place is not particularly interesting. This is a simple location where you can stop by for a few minutes, but in our opinion, it is not necessary to go here on purpose.
The 20.7-meter-high statue of Uncle Ho is located at the end of the former runway of the old airport in the middle of a huge square. Behind the statue are large relief panels depicting highlights from the history of South Vietnam. Also on the square there is a small museum that tells in detail about the life and deeds of this great man. The museum's exhibits include his personal belongings, photographs, documents and other artifacts that help to better understand his philosophy and ideals. In addition, there is a temple next to the square, which serves as a venue for various rituals and ceremonies.
The square itself serves as a venue for various cultural events, holidays and social gatherings. In the future, this space is planned to become an important cultural center that will attract both locals and tourists.

Ho Chi Minh City Square and the old airport are located in the main city of Phu Quoc Duong Dong (Ho Chi Minh City Square and the old airport on the map).
