Description and is it worth a visit
Museum of Coi Nguon (Coi Nguon Museum) is the only local history museum in Phu Quoc. The museum is private. On 5 floors there is information about the history and famous people of the island, the Vietnam war, a large section on traditional Vietnamese medicine, as well as finds and artifacts that are almost 1000 years old (fossils, shells, ceramics, bronze).
Visitors here can not be found often, and, probably, that is why the museum space is not in the best shape. There are quite a lot of exhibits for a private collection, but they are all in a neglected state: the showcases are dusty, the glass of the aquariums is dirty and it is difficult to see what is there. There is almost no information about the objects of the collection, and where there is, not even all the plates are duplicated in English. Excursions are not held here. Therefore, all this looks more like a private collection of artifacts collected from everywhere, rather than a real museum.
On the ground floor there is a shop with decorations and souvenirs. On the top floor there is an observation deck from where you can explore the surroundings.
