Sun World Cable Car and Park on Hon Thom Island is one of the top tourist attractions that is definitely worth visiting during your vacation in Phu Quoc. The cable car is notable for being considered the longest in the world, crossing the sea. Its length is 7899.9 meters. Many tourists come here precisely to take a ride on one of the famous and unique structures, as well as to enjoy the wonderful views from the cabin from a bird's-eye view. In time, the trip takes 15 minutes.
But that's not all! A cable car connects Phu Quoc Island with Hon Thom Island, where the large Sun World Hon Thom entertainment center is located. And to the delight of visitors to the cable car, the fare for it includes unlimited (for one day) use of all attractions and the water park.
The starting point of the cable car is located in the center of Sunset Town, in a colorful building in the form of a Colosseum. On the ground floor there is free parking for transport. Then you need to take the escalator up to the ticket offices, there are signs everywhere. In the large room where the ticket offices and boarding terminals are located, there are also toilets and restaurants, which is very convenient if you have to wait it out.
The Sun World Hon Thom amusement Park has a huge Aquatopia water park, several attractions, a large equipped and beautifully decorated area for walking. In addition, the island has a gorgeous beach with palm trees, hammocks and photo zones. So, the choice of types of recreation and entertainment is quite decent, most importantly, it would be enough for all the time. On the territory there are cafes, toilets, for an additional fee - changing rooms, storage rooms, in general, all the amenities for a comfortable pastime.
Useful information to visit:
- It is possible to buy tickets for a cable car and an amusement park cheaper than at official ticket offices, travel agencies and tour booking sites, for example at Trip.com, there accept Russian cards.
- There are complex tickets, including visits to 2-3 tourist places at once and with lunch or dinner included (for example, a cable car+The Kiss of the Sea Show + the Symphony of the Sea Show), which will significantly save on the entrance fee separately.
- It is better to visit the cable car from the very opening in the morning, so that there is more time to walk around the island of Hon Thom and relax in the water park.
- The cable car has its own schedule, so plan your visit time in advance. Please be aware that the cable car is closed from 11:30 to 13:30 and from 14:00 to 15:30, closes at 17:00.
- There are certain restrictions in the water park, for example, you need to remove bulky jewelry (chains, pendants, bracelets), a bathing suit must be without metal inserts and zippers (otherwise you will have to buy on the spot for 150,000 DONG).

Daily, from 09:00 to 17:00. The cable car operates with 2 breaks: from 11:30 to 13:30 and from 14:00 to 15:30.
💵Entrance fee / ticket price
Adult – 700 000 VND (26.59 USD), children (height from 100 to 140 cm) – 550 000 VND (20.89 USD).
Children up to 100 cm tall are free of charge. When buying tickets at street travel agencies or online on websites Trip.com (accepts Russian cards) or klook tickets may be cheaper than at the official ticket offices.
🚶 How to get there
The cable car station is located in the new resort town of Sunset Town (cable car station on the map), and Hong Tom Island itself with an amusement park 5 kilometers from Phu Quoc (island on the map).
If you are staying in Sunset Town, you can walk from anywhere. From other areas and beaches of Phu Quoc, you will have to take a taxi here (this is about 100 – 200 thousand VND when ordering through the Grab app). Some travel agencies and hotels offer a transfer for an additional fee when buying tickets from them. If you arrive by rented transport, you will be able to park the transport in a free parking lot at least for the whole day. There are also options for tours to Hong Tom Island by round-trip boats or one-way by cable car and back by boat.
