The town of Hoi An is located 30 kilometers from Da Nang and the international airport. The airport is almost in the center of Da Nang, and the ways to get from the city and the airport largely overlap. Here are detailed instructions on how to do it:
Our advice: to quickly and without problems get from the airport or Da Nang to Hoi An – use taxi apps Grab, Maxim, XanhSm. It's fast, convenient, and relatively inexpensive. To order a taxi, you can use the free WiFi at the airport, or buy a local SIM card right here.
To Hoi An from Da Nang
If you are staying at a hotel in Da Nang, the easiest way to get to Hoi An is by taxi, or by booking a tourist transfer. The trip will cost from 300,000. You can also take city bus №LK-02, but this route is mainly suitable for experienced tourists.

By taxi
Taxi in Da Nang The cheapest and most reliable is to order a taxi through Grab, Maxim, XanhSm apps. The trip will cost within 300,000 dong (15.21 USD, )see Vietnamese currency and its exchange rate), travel time 40 minutes. You can negotiate with local taxi drivers on the street for about the same price, and if you do it a day before the trip, it's quite possible to bargain down to this price. But if you negotiate right before the trip, it's not always possible to get such a price.
You will have to pay a little more if you order a car through a travel agency or the hotel reception. But this way you can immediately arrange a round trip with waiting, if you just want to visit Hoi An from Da Nang as an attraction during the day, or vice versa.
Another option is to order a tourist transfer. You can order a car directly to the hotel or to the airport in advance from home, and pay for it online. But more about that below.

By city bus
Bus LK-02 from Da Nang to Hoi An Bus №LK-02 runs between Da Nang and Hoi An, or simply "Two". But with this route everything is a bit confusing. Read everything carefully, it's important!!! In fact, this is a combined route №02 and №LK-02. Moreover, 02 goes from Da Nang bus station along Dien Bien Phu street, crosses the Dragon Bridge, then to the Marble Mountains. After the Marble Mountains at the final stop it changes number to LK-02 (or to 02, depending on which side you're going from) and goes further. Or it may not go further and end its route here, and you yourself will need to change to another bus at this final stop. At the same time, even if you board the combined route right away, at this final stop you will need to buy a second ticket from the conductor right away. That is, you are traveling on one bus, but you will have tickets for 02 and LK-02. Moreover, from Da Nang you can get to this stop also on №16, and again change to LK-02, or all in the opposite direction from Hoi An.
Previously, the notoriously tourist-scamming city bus route of Da Nang №1 ran between Da Nang and Hoi An. But now it's gone, don't even look for it!!!
Important! LK-02 is not a standard city bus, it's a "branded" route of Futa BusLines, a famous intercity sleeper bus carrier. Therefore, information about LK-02 is missing from the official Da Nang city bus website. But we checked everything in practice, this route exists and works great.

🚌 Route LK-02 and 02: №02 goes from Da Nang bus station along Dien Bien Phu street, crosses the Dragon Bridge, then to the Marble Mountains. After the Marble Mountains at the final stop it changes number to LK-02 and goes to Hoi An, through the center of Hoi An, to Cua Dai Beach.
-
🕐 Schedule: Runs every 15-30 minutes from 05:00 to 19:00.
-
💵 Price: Cost for the entire route – 30,000 dong, to Marble Mountains – 15,000 dong.
If you are vacationing in the tourist area of Da Nang near the embankment and beach, the nearest stop to board it is near the Dragon Bridge, here it is on the map.
In Hoi An, this bus does not go as before №1 to the local bus station, but goes further along Nguyen Tah Thanh street through the entire city, makes several stops at bus stops.

To Hoi An from Da Nang Airport
From Da Nang Airport you can leave for Hoi An by taxi, use a pre-booked tourist transfer, travel with transfers on buses, or try to get there by commercial minivan.
-
By taxi
City taxi in Da Nang A trip by meter or through apps will cost up to 400,000 dong (15.21 USD). Time - 30-40 minutes. We recommend using Grab, XanhSm, Maxim apps. To order, you can use the free Wi-Fi at the airport. More about Grab and how to use it
Taxi drivers at the airport reluctantly agree to trips by meter and will offer a fixed inflated price. You need to bargain.

By bus
City bus in Da Nang If you really need to save money, you can take buses, but you'll have to make transfers:
- At the airport, take route №06.
- Get off at the first stop after the Dragon Bridge (stop on the map)
- At this stop, wait for bus 02/LK-02, or №16
- Go to the final stop (final stop on the map) and change there to route LK-02.
- We talked about the features of route 02/LK-02 above.

Tourist transfer
A much more convenient and comfortable option to get to Hoi An from the airport is to order a tourist transfer. This is an analogue of ordering a taxi, but you can arrange and pay for it from home, and then the driver will meet you upon arrival with a sign, and deliver you to the place without any problems and difficulties with the language barrier.

Minivans from the airport
A commercial minivan costing $6 or about 140,000 dong (5.32 USD) runs between the airport and the center of Da Nang. It runs every hour from 05:00 to 23:00, travel time 1 hour 15 minutes (in fact it turns out to be more). However, if there are no passengers from Hoi An to the airport, the flight may not take place at all, and waiting for it at the airport will be pointless.
These minivans depart from the domestic terminal, which is easy to reach on foot from the international terminal. Then it goes through the center of Da Nang city and drops off passengers at hotels in the center of Hoi An, and ends at the office at 30 Tran Hung Dao steet. It's also very convenient to get from Hoi An to the airport for a flight on it, but it will only be profitable for one person, as for two you will pay almost the same as for a taxi.
