Description and Is it Worth Visiting
Love Pier and Dragon Carp Fountain (Love Pier and Dragon Carp Fountain) - this is a new promenade area and tourist location in the center of Da Nang, which has become a very popular spot for couples' photos and a tourist attraction. It's a small pedestrian pier on the Han River, decorated with love symbols - hearts, and at the beginning of the pier stands a large statue of the mythical "Dragon Carp" 7.5 meters high made of white marble. In the evenings, a stream of water shoots from the dragon-fish's mouth. After opening, this place became very popular with couples who traditionally leave padlocks with their names on the pier railings to "secure" their love. You can buy padlocks, by the way, right here in the shop.
In the evenings, the Dragon Carp statue is beautifully illuminated, the pier lights turn on, a cafe operates, and there's a shop with a large selection of original souvenirs, including "hand-made" ones, and of course, many Asian tourists and locals gather here, as they go crazy for all kinds of beautiful photo locations.
Overall, our opinion is that it's not necessary to specifically go or travel to Love Pier and the carp fountain. But if you're walking around the city center along the embankment and Dragon Bridge, which we definitely recommend doing, then you won't be able to miss this spot. Moreover, next to the pier there's another cool and larger tourist spot – Son Tra Night Market, and a luxurious seafood restaurant in the form of a magnificent yacht Yacht Restaurant Da Nang.
