Description and is it worth a visit
The 9-Army Historical Park was formed on the historical site where one of the largest battles between Siam and the invading Burmese (now Myanmar) troops took place during the Burmese-Siamese War of 1975-1985. The troops of Siam were then commanded by the first king of the current ruling dynasty, Rama I. Unfortunately, it is difficult to call this place interesting for a wide range of tourists: it is not spectacular, and the information is presented only in Thai. In fact, you can see here only a defensive observation tower, a map of battles, several statues and cannons. The mock-ups of the battles behind the glass are dusty, the glass itself is dirty and almost nothing is visible behind it. The museum-exhibition is closed. In general, the place is neglected, but at the time of our visit (2018), reconstruction work was underway, and perhaps the park will become more spectacular and interesting.
