Attractions and entertainment in Olenevka and what to see

Article and Section Navigation

Directly in Olenevka itself there are no attractions at all, and all more or less interesting places are located in the vicinity of the resort on the territory of the Chernomorskoe region. It is problematic to visit them on foot on your own, and therefore you will have to use personal or rented transport, or go to the sights with excursions.

The number and variety of inexpensive group excursions that depart from Olenevka is very modest, and includes visits only to the places closest to the resort.

The most popular excursion in Olenevka is, of course, a classic trip to the Cape and the Tarkhankut peninsula with a visit to the Love Bowl (Chasha Lubvi), The Big Atlesh, the Fishing Camp, the Dolphinarium, the small Atlesh, the through Cave, The Crocodile Rock, etc. Tarkhankut offers walking tours, excursions by minibus or jeep and boat or kayak trips. So you can choose the option to your taste. Trips to the dzhangul tract, which is also part of Tarkhankut, are also offered, but this is a separate excursion.

The most popular options for tourist entertainment in Olenevka are somehow connected with diving, which is not surprising, because the local depths are considered one of the most interesting in the whole Crimea. Here you can dive to the sunken ships of different eras, see the German aircraft of the Second World War, take a walk in the underwater sculpture museum "alley of leaders", and even make friends underwater with dolphins. Exploring the depths of the sea is available not only for certificate holders and equipment, but also for tourists with no experience at all. You can buy a ready-made dive tour from one of the local dive centers, and initial training, equipment, instructor support will be included. The price for diving is cheaper if you have wholesale and a certificate, and start from 2500 rubles. And here you can take a full course of study and get a certificate.

Also in Olenevka there are types of active recreation and entertainment – kitesurfing and windsurfing. After all, the winds in Olenevka blow constantly and evenly, and the bottom is Sandy and safe. On the beach there are schools of these sports, where you can rent equipment, get training, and then jump on the waves with a sail or kite for fun.

On the beach in separate technical areas there are traditional water activities: banana riding, rental of catamarans, jet skis, SUP surfboards. For children there are inflatable water slides and trampolines. And in the evening on the southern part of the beach there is an open-air disco.

If you come to Olenevka on vacation on your own or rented transport, then you have much more opportunities for entertainment and sightseeing. In addition to the fact that you can independently travel around the entire Tarkhankut Peninsula, during the day you can go to more remote places. So, in the district center of the village of Chernomorskoye (22 kilometers) there is a good Museum of local lore and an open-air Archaeological Museum at the site of the excavations of the ancient Greek settlement "Kalos Limen". Another settlement "Panskoye" is located in Mezhvodnoye, and there is also a lake with therapeutic mud Dzharylgach. Another archaeological site of the Greek-Scythian settlement of Bolshoy Castel is located just 10 kilometers from the center of Olenevka, although it will have to go along a bad dirt road. Well, we advise you to go to Yevpatoria if possible, because there are a lot of historical and cultural attractions, there are museums and a whole historical quarter. Therefore, we advise you to additionally read these guides:

And now we will tell you more about the sights and entertainment in Olenevka, which you can visit yourself:
