What to Expect and Is It Worth Visiting
The northwestern coast of Crimea is rich in the ruins of ancient settlements and mounds dating back several centuries BC. Most of them were investigated by Soviet archaeologists and subsequently preserved, and "Panskoye" is just one of these preserved and covered with Earth. Roughly dated to the IV century BC, this is the period of existence of the ancient Greek state with the capital Chersonesos on the site of the current archaeological park-museum Chersonesos Tauric in Sevastopol. It was opened in 1933.
Objectively speaking, you will not see anything particularly exciting here. Only piles of stones, arranged in geometrically regular shapes, will remind that there was once a prosperous settlement. There are also several mounds on the territory, which are barely distinguishable among natural irregularities and tall grass. But if you have a lot of free time and have become completely bored, you can get here or even walk from the center of Mezhvodny on foot.
If you are not an archaeologist or local historian, then in order to understand at least something in these ruins, we advise you to first visit Local History Museum in the Chernomorskoe. There is an informative section with information about ancient settlements and mounds of the Crimea.

🚶 How to get there
the settlement "Panskoye" is located 7 kilometers from the center of Mezhvodnoye (settlement "Panskoye" on the map). Getting here is best by car, but you can walk, which will take about two hours in one direction. To get there by car, it is better to use the navigator to the point indicated on the map, since there are no signs. The last two kilometers will have to go on a clay dirt road, so in wet weather we do not recommend going, otherwise you will get stuck in the mud.
If you want to get to "Pansky" from the Chernomorskoe, you will have to overcome 12 kilometers. It is best to go by private transport, taxi or at least hitchhiking, since buses from the Chernomorskoe to Mezhvodnoye go very rarely: 3-4 times a day according to the schedule.
When you get to the point indicated by us on the map, you will have to continue walking right across the field in search of ruins on foot. There are quite a lot of ruins and mounds here. They are scattered over an area of several hectares and at a considerable distance from each other. For a walk, it is better to wear comfortable sports shoes and sweatpants, because you will have to walk on high grass. And be prepared for the possible myriad of mosquitoes that literally stick from head to toe.
