By bus

Bus service in Olenevka is poorly developed. How to get from the airport to Olenevka

You can get directly from the airport to Olenevka only by taxi or rented car, buses do not run. Moreover, even with a transfer through Simferopol, you can only get there on a single flight that departs once or twice a day early in the morning (see the bus schedule above). To save about 500 rubles from the cost of a taxi from the airport, you can alternatively take a bus to Yevpatoria, and from there continue the journey finally to the place of rest by taxi.

By train

There is no railway to Olenevka, and the nearest railway station is in Yevpatoria. In turn, Yevpatoria can be reached by train on long-distance trains only from Moscow and St. Petersburg, and by electric trains from the cities of Crimea. Therefore, if there are no direct trains from your city to Yevpatoria, you can buy tickets to Simferopol, and then transfer to the train to Yevpatoria or go to Olenevka by bus or taxi.

Due to Western sanctions against the peninsula, the Russian carrier Russian Railways does not operate flights to the Crimea, and therefore you will have to search and book tickets not on the Russian Railways website, but on the carrier's website Grand service Express.

• Through Evpatoria

  Yevpatoria railway station is a 5-minute walk from the local bus station. There you can transfer to the bus to Olenevka, on the way a little more than 2 hours, the cost of 350 rubles. But buses run rarely, only 2-4 times a day, and therefore you may have to use a taxi from 2000 rubles.

• Via Simferopol

By car

As we have already mentioned, Olenevka is one of the farthest, if not the farthest resort of the Crimea, and after entering the peninsula on the bridge you have to drive another 370 kilometers, which will take about 5 hours. You can go further along one of these routes:

• Through Simferopol and Yevpatoria. This route runs along an excellent new road almost to Olenevka. We advise you to go this way.

• Through Jankoy. This is an alternative route that will be interesting if you really want to visit Dzhankoy, or you are just interested in little-known routes. But the road after Jankoy is of very poor quality.

You should know that there is no gas station in Olenevka, and therefore if you plan to travel around the surrounding attractions and visit distant beaches, we advise you to refuel in full in the Chernomorskoe or Yevpatoria, where there are good local network gas stations "Vesta", "Atan" and others. The price of fuel here is the same as in the whole Crimea, i.e. about 5% higher than on the "mainland".

Transport and how to move around Olenevka

By itself, the resort of Olenevka is not very large, and therefore you can move around it on foot. If you do not like to walk to the beach, then you can drive your car and safely leave the car in any suitable place for free, there is no problem with this.

The only public transport that passes through Olenevka is suburban buses from the Chernomorskoe To The Lighthouse on Cape Tarkhankut. They pass through the village twice a day according to the schedule, and can be useful if you want to shorten the walking path for a walk along thePeninsula and Cape Tarkhankut.

Transport rental is also available at the resort. Bicycle rental can be found in some guest houses and hotels, there are also separate rental points on the street.
