Uch-Dere is located 25 kilometers from the center of Sochi (Uch-Dere on the map).

You can get to the resort by plane through Sochi airport, it is 45 kilometers away and about an hour away. From the airport directly to the place of rest you can get by taxi, electric trains, Sochi city buses or rented transport.

By train at the height of the summer season, you can get from almost any region and city of the Russian Federation. True, long-distance trains do not stop directly in Uch-Dere, so you have to go to neighboring stations in Loo or the center of Sochi.

To get from the airport, from neighboring resorts on the coast and from the cities of the Krasnodar Territory, it is best to use trains, and, in extreme cases, buses.

Many tourists come to rest in Sochi and Uch-Dere, in particular, by private cars. It is really convenient and relatively inexpensive, but definitely we will not recommend a trip on a personal car, because there are too many difficulties associated with this.

By plane to Uch-Dere

You can get to Uch-Dere by plane through one of the two nearest airports: Sochi International Airport or Krasnodar airport. We advise you to fly to Sochi airport, because getting from it is much easier and faster.

You can fly directly to Sochi airport from Moscow, St. Petersburg and most major regions of the Russian Federation, and in the high season (in summer) many direct charters from tour operators are launched, which makes the prices for tours more attractive than a direct flight with a regular flight. In the low tourist season, direct flights from some regions of Russia are reduced or not performed at all, so you will have to fly with a transfer through Moscow, Krasnodar or Rostov-on-Don.

How to get from Sochi airport to Uch-Dere

You can get from Sochi airport by taxi (the most comfortable way), train (the fastest), city buses (the slowest and most uncomfortable), or rent a car. Instead of daily rent, you can use a more profitable carsharing with Per-Minute payment, but there are some subtleties:

Special care should be taken to use road transport (taxi, bus or rental) to travel from Uch-Dere to the airport at the time of departure, especially in high tourist season or in bad weather. The fact is that due to traffic jams, taxi service and travel time can be more than 3 hours, so you can easily be late for the departure time. Most often, traffic jams occur during the day on weekdays and in bad weather, but their unforeseen appearance at any time due to accidents is not excluded. Then the road may be blocked for several hours. therefore, if possible, we recommend using more reliable and faster trains, if they suit you according to the Schedule.

  You can use an official airport taxi, order a car through the applications of aggregators Yandex. Taxi, Uber, Gett and Citymobil, or accept offers from private "bombers". It is cheaper to go through the applications of aggregators, but, as mentioned above, in high season there is a chance simply not to wait for the delivery of the car due to high demand. In addition, during traffic jams and bad weather, the price of a trip increases many times, and it is very difficult to predict.

  Private bombila drivers offer higher prices, but you can bargain with them or negotiate an economical joint trip with other tourists, which is especially important if you are traveling alone.

  If you do not need difficulties with a long wait for a taxi and the need to bargain with private traders, we advise you to order a car in advance from one of the local taxi companies or book a tourist transfer online. The transfer is ordered by a certain time or flight, and then the driver will meet you with a sign on arrival in the arrivals hall.

  Trains from the airport to Uch-Dere and back go several times a day strictly on schedule and without delays, so we recommend them as the best way to get there, if they suit you on schedule.

  The departure station is located at the airport, you can get to it from the terminal via a covered passage on the signs. Tickets are sold at the box office or vending machine, when buying you need to specify the destination station.

  In Uch-Dere there are two stopping points of electric trains: "mountain air" and "Uch-Dere". In most cases, it is better to go to the "mountain air", since it is here that the main tourist life and infrastructure of the resort, most of the hotels, are located. But the station "Uch-Dere" is mostly useless for tourists, because upon arrival at it you can not even call a taxi to get to the hotel, because there is not even a normal road nearby.

  There are no direct buses from the airport to Uch-Dere, you will need to make a transfer in the center of Sochi. As a result, with a successful combination of circumstances, the road will take 3-4 hours. Often you have to go in crowded buses, so we advise you to use this transport only in extreme cases.

  Here is the trip algorithm:

  • First get to the center of Sochi. The city bus stop at the airport is located immediately at the exit from the arrivals hall on the lower level. Payment of the fare at the entrance to the driver by card or cash. From the stop to the center of Sochi there are only two flights: No. 105 and No. 105C (express). These are passing buses that depart every 45-60 minutes from 05:00 to 20:00. You need to go to the railway station in the center of Sochi.

  • Take the bus directly to Uch-Dere. In Sochi, you need to transfer to bus number 75, 76, 77 directly to Uch-Dere. They depart every 15 minutes, en route 40-60 min. You will have to go along the serpentines. These buses make many stops along the route, so you can choose the most convenient stop to get off. You can tell the driver the name of a hotel or other landmark, and he will tell you where to get off.

• Rent a car

  You can rent a car at the reception in the arrivals hall, or get a pre-booked car via the internet. Available long-term rental (from 1300 rubles / day) and carsharing with Per-Minute payment Belkacar from 6 rubles/minute. Unfortunately, there is no Belkacar parking and end zone in Uch-Dera yet, i.e. you will not be able to arrive here at one of the airports and end the trip. But theoretically, on the "Belka" you can get to Uch-Dere, drop off the family and unload things at the hotel, and then return and leave the car in the parking area in the center of Sochi. By train to Uch-Dere

In Uch-Dere there are two railway stations "mountain air" and "Uch-Dere", but only trains stop at them. On long-distance trains you need to go to the nearest railway stations in Sochi or Loo. Loo station is much closer, so it is preferable to buy tickets to it. In turn, from the Loo station you can get to Uch-Dere by taxi from 100 rubles, city buses №№ 75, 76, 77, 148, 148, 150, 151 from 28 rubles, or even walk with a light backpack two or three kilometers.

By bus in Uch-Dere

Intercity buses passing through Uch-Dere to the center of Sochi can be taken from Moscow and neighboring regions (Rostov-on-Don, Stavropol, Volgograd, Voronezh, Kislovodsk, Makhachkala, Astrakhan, Yalta, Kislovodsk). But as far as we know, intercity buses do not make an official stop here, which means you will have to negotiate with the driver about the stop.

In general, we do not recommend using buses on long-distance routes. The fact is that the last few hours of the journey will pass along the mountain serpentines of the coastal highway with a long standstill in traffic jams on the section after Dzhubga, which is unlikely to add pleasant impressions to your rest. However, this is the only option if you need to get to Uch-Dere from the cities and resorts of the Krasnodar Territory that do not have a railway connection. By car in Uch-Dere

Coming by car on vacation seems like a good idea, but usually those who have been in the high season on their car in Sochi, try not to do so anymore, but use a plane or train. The reason for this is a complex serpentine road with constant traffic jams, difficulties with parking and the "unusual" behavior of local drivers. We advise you to abandon the idea of traveling by car, if you only need to get to the place of rest and there are no plans to actively move to other resorts.

Especially a lot of trouble for drivers brings a section of the road with a length of 150 kilometers after Dzhubga in the direction of Sochi. It is almost always in traffic jams, and at the height of the tourist season it can take up to 6 hours to overcome it. If possible, plan its passage at night or early in the morning. Alternatively, you can go around the Dzhubga-Tuapse road through the Shahumyan pass, but this is 75 kilometers more, besides, you will have to drive 7 kilometers through the pass on a terribly dusty and uncomfortable gravel road. If you decide to go through the pass, then the decision to detour should be taken in Krasnodar or, in extreme cases, in Goryachy Klyuch, since later you can not turn off the detour.

How to get to Uch-Dere from other resorts in Sochi

From other villages and from the center of Sochi to Uch-Dere can be reached by city buses or trains. It is better to use trains, because it is faster and more comfortable. But a bus ride along local serpentines with constant stops and dispersals leads to nausea and dizziness even in adults, let alone children.
