Overview of beaches in Uch-Dere

The beaches in Ud-Dere are exceptionally pebbly, but they differ favorably from the narrow and almost washed away beaches in the neighboring Loo, and that is why vacationers in the center of Loo rush here during the day to rest. The coast here stretches continuously for almost 4 kilometers without breakwaters, fences and other obstacles, there are a lot of places to rest on it. There is a conditional division of the coast into sections administered by sanatoriums, but they are all publicly accessible, you can relax anywhere.

The main and most developed beach in Uch-Dere is located on the shore near the tourist center and the railway station "Mountain Air". It is also considered a remote beach of the Loo resort, called "Aqualoo", "White Beach" or "Mountain Air".

Towards the resort of Loo, the pebble beach strip on the shore does not stop for another 2 kilometers, but there are fewer vacationers. If you move towards the center of Sochi and Dagomys, then first there will be a chain of sanatorium beaches (public), and then semi-wild and wild beaches up to the railway station called "Uch-Dere". Even further behind the station there will be a nudist beach and Dagomys.

The main beach has a well-developed infrastructure and has all the services and entertainment necessary for recreation. Their prices are about the same as in the neighboring Sochi resorts:

And now let's tell you a little more about each of the beaches of Uch-Dere:

• The main beach in Uch-Dere, aka "Aqualoo", "White Beach" or "Mountain air"

  The main beach in Uch-Dere equally applies to the resort village of Loo, since there is no obvious border between the resorts. It is located in the most developed tourist part of Uch-Dere near the railway station "Mountain air" (beach on the map). You can get here along Taganrogskaya Street through two passages under the railway: near the Aqualoo water park and the railway station.

  This is a wide and long beach, completely public. On the shore there are all the traditional beach amenities and even fountains with drinking water. Renting a chaise longue under a canopy will cost 300 rubles / day, the use of changing rooms is free, toilets from 30 rubles. Since there are pebbles everywhere on the shore, wooden decking paths are equipped for the convenience of vacationers to approach the water, but special shoes for swimming will not hurt at all. By the way, you can buy it at the tourist market when going to the beach along Renaissance Street from 300 rubles per pair. There is even a small embankment along Renaissance Street with children's entertainment and rental of children's games. And the most important thing is that there are a lot of vacationers here only in the very center of this area and in walking distance from the railway station. But it is worth a little walk along the brega in either direction, as you will get to comfortable and sparsely populated beaches.

  

  

  

• Beach at Cape Uch-Dere

  The main beach ends with a small cape Uch-Dere a couple of kilometers from the center (beach at Cape Uch-Dere on the map). It can be easily reached on foot along the shore, and some drivers even manage to go directly to the shore in cars, which, of course, is completely ugly and illegal to do. Nevertheless, if you want to drive closer to this beach by car, you can do it along the old asphalt-concrete road that starts from the main highway to Sochi E97/A-147 without reaching the sanatorium "White Nights".

  There are large stones and pebbles on the shore and under the water here, so be careful. There is no infrastructure and amenities, there are also few vacationers. Therefore, they usually come here to rest for the whole day, and bring everything with them, arrange picnics and barbecue. This place cannot be called beautiful, everything is ruined by dilapidated buildings and abandoned territory with destroyed buildings. In addition, there is a sewage treatment plant nearby.

  

• The beach of the sanatorium "White Nights"

  "White Nights" is located further behind the cape after a short unsuitable swimming area (the beach of the sanatorium "White Nights" on the map). You can walk here from the center on foot along the shore, but it's almost 3 kilometers along inconvenient pebbles and past the ruins of a destroyed concrete plant. You can drive by car along the old asphalt-concrete road, which starts from the main highway on Sochi E97/A-147 without reaching the sanatorium.

  Approximately 200 meters of the coast suitable for recreation and bathing is divided into two parts: the public and the conditionally closed beach of the sanatorium. The public part is a wild beach without infrastructure and amenities, where there are literally only a few vacationers. The pebbles here are large, entering the water is not very convenient. What is still not very pleasant, there is a former landfill located higher up the slope, and they say that after the rains the water from there gets into the sea.

  

• Uch-Dere Beach

  The beach "Uch-Dere" is located far from the tourist center of the resort on the shore opposite the railway station "Uch-Dere" (beach "Uch-Dere" on the map). This is a quiet and remote place away from civilization, and there is not even a highway leading here. You will have to walk along the shore and railway tracks from the side of the sanatorium "White Nights" or along the pedestrian path from Semashko Street, which is very far away. But, surprisingly enough, there is a railway station "Uch-Dere", where trains stop.

  The coast here is divided into two beaches with a length of about 200 meters each: public and Semashko sanatorium. It is impossible to get to the almost always empty sanatorium beach from the side, because security guards are watching this and fences prevent it.

  But the public part is one of the favorite places to rest with tents, and there is a whole tent city in the shade of the trees. If you are a fan of such a holiday, you can also stay here for free, but you will have to get here by train or on foot first. Please note that there is no fresh water source nearby, you will have to bring everything with you.

  

  

  

Hotels and accommodation in Uch-Dere, where it is better to stay

The study can be divided into a tourist zone and a non-tourist part. And there and there you can find a hotel or private housing for rent, but it's easy to make a mistake with the choice if you choose an unsuccessful location.

• Tourist area. This is an area near the coast and the railway station "Mountain Air", it is also often considered a remote Loo beach from the center, since the territories of these settlements do not have borders and intersect. It is here that we advise first of all to choose housing. There are shops and markets, a promenade along the beach, excursions are sold and other tourist services are offered. Wherever you choose a hotel in a tourist area, you can walk to the beach, and this is perhaps the most important condition for a comfortable stay.
• Non-touristic part. The Uch-Dere microdistrict consists of several villages at once - Lower, Cultural and Upper Uch-Dere, and all of them are located away from the shore. Here, too, you can easily find tourist accommodation, and it will be cheaper than near the shore, but in this case you will find yourself away from the beach and tourist fun, and to relax on the shore. You will have to walk far at best, or even go to the beach at all.
