Sennoy (Sennoy) is a small village on the Black Sea coast in the Krasnodar Territory (Sennoy on the map). Strictly speaking, it is not exactly on the Black Sea coast, but on the shore of the Taman Bay, which is officially part of the Black Sea, but is actually located between the Azov and the Black. The village is small, its population is less than 4,000 people. Nearby are the resorts of Taman, the village of Primorsky, Golubitskaya, Kuchuguri. Sennoy is a moderately developed beach resort, but with its own peculiarity, because of which not every tourist will enjoy a vacation here.

The beach here is sandy, the depth is small and suitable for families with children. The Sea of Azov is warmer than the Black Sea, and warms up earlier. And since the bay is located between these two seas, already in June you can swim here comfortably. But the problem is that a huge amount of algae grows in the water near the shores of the Sennoy, which cover the beach with a thick layer at the very edge of the water. They are sometimes removed from the shore, but most of the season they lie on the shore, and are always in the water, and near the shore. If they are not cleaned for a long time, they begin to rot, smell bad, various flying insects start in them. Because of this, entering the water immediately from the shore is difficult and not very pleasant here. To make it easier to swim, wooden bridges are installed from the shore into the water, along which you can cross these thickets and immediately get into more or less clean water. By the way, the purity of the water of the resort also does not differ for the better, sometimes it is black and even with a red tint.

If this feature of the beaches does not frighten you, then the Sennoy is quite suitable as a place to relax. Moreover, some tourists come here specifically to correct their health, because there is an opinion that these very algae Fucus and Kelp saturate the air and water with iodine and trace elements. It is indeed recognized that Ficus and Kelp contain many healthy substances, and they are eaten and used for the preparation of dietary supplements. But the benefits of being near them in the water and in the air still require scientific confirmation.

Sennoy is quite a tourist-developed resort. Even if compared with Taman, it looks more touristic and convenient for recreation. The geographical location of Sennoye is also convenient: it is located in the center of the Taman Peninsula, and from here to all tourist places and beaches of the peninsula is approximately equal distance. However, this advantage of the resort can only be used by private car, because public transport is very poorly developed here.

All infrastructure is concentrated along the main street of the World, passing along the coast through the village. On this street there is a supermarket "Magnet", a grocery market, several small grocery stores, there is a point of sale of excursions.

There is not much entertainment in the Sennoy. There is a small children's park with swings, and sometimes trampolines appear on the beach and that's it. Adults can take a guided tour of the production line of the local winery Fanagoria and one of the branded wine shops, where local alcoholic beverages are sold at very good prices. Otherwise, you will have to organize your leisure and entertainment yourself.

Prices by the standards of other resorts of the Krasnodar Territory are affordable: from 350 rubles per person. For 3000 rubles, you can rent a whole house in the Sennoy, but such prices are valid only for long-term accommodation of 10 days or more, and if you come here for a couple of days, you will have to pay one and a half times more expensive.

Weather in Sennoy, tourist seasons

• 🌞 You need to go from June to August. This is the beach tourist season in the Sennoy. The warmest months are July and August, but the beginning of June is often cool, rainy and windy.

• ⛅ You can go in May and September. May is the beginning of the season, but it's still too cool for a comfortable swim. September is a velvet season with mild weather and still warm sea, but it is not as hot as in August.

• 🌨 Do not go from October to April. These are too cold months to rest in the Sennoy.

How to get to Sennaya

Sennoy is located 25 kilometers from Taman, 190 kilometers from Krasnodar and 1480 from Moscow (Sennoy on the map).

Public transport is not very well developed here, so the ideal way to get here would be to drive your own car. From Moscow, the fastest and most convenient route in your car will take you along the M4 toll highway, which will take about 20 hours on the road and about 900 rubles for toll sections. If you bypass the toll sections, the route will increase by only a few tens of kilometers, but it will increase in time by several hours, since the detours pass through populated areas. From the regions located east of Moscow, you can go on free roads through Volgograd.

If you do not have personal transport, then you can get to Sennoye by plane, train or bus, but you will have to make transfers. You need to go to Taman, Temryuk or Anapa (Vityazevo airport), depending on what is more convenient and cheaper for you. See more details:

In turn, you can take buses from Taman or Temryuk, but they run very rarely, so you will most likely have to take a taxi. You should expect to pay from 700 rubles per trip for the entire car.

From Anapa airport, it is better to take a taxi right away or order a transfer to kiwitaxi.ru, since buses will have to make several transfers. A taxi ride from Anapa will cost from 1300 rubles.

Sights and entertainment in Sennoy, what to see and what to do

The only conventional attraction in the Sennoy is the Fanagoria winery, which hosts interesting excursions with tasting (time at 10:00 and 14:00, duration 1.5 hours, cost 700 rubles, recording by phone +7 988 133 97 10 ). You can also find references to the ruins of the ancient city of Phanagoria in the Sennoy, but so far this is not a full-fledged attraction, but only an archaeological site that is not yet open to the public.

However, you can diversify your vacation here.
