Overview of ways to get there

Taman is located on the coast of the Sea of Azov in Krasnodar Krai (Taman on the map). The resort is separated from Krasnodar by 210 kilometers, from Moscow by 1500. It is most convenient to get to Taman for recreation on your own transport, but if this is not possible, then you can get there by public transport. You can do this by plane through one of the airports of the Krasnodar Territory, by bus with a transfer in Krasnodar, Anapa Or Temryuk, and from 2019 it became possible to get here on passing trains to the Crimea.

By plane to Taman

You will have to get to Taman by plane through one of the nearest airports with a transfer by bus, taxi or train. Here are the nearest airports and the distance from them along the highway:

• Anapa Airport "Vityazevo" - 75 kilometers.
• Gelendzhik airport-160 kilometers.
• Krasnodar airport "Pashkovsky" - 230 kilometers.

Usually the cheapest tickets from Moscow and the regions are offered to Krasnodar, but it is much more convenient to choose a flight to Anapa, since from there it will be much easier and cheaper to get to Taman.

Getting from the airports on arrival is most convenient by taxi or by ordering a tourist transfer. Travel time from 1 hour.

You can order a taxi at the airport counter or in the parking lot at the exit from the terminal, but if you need to save money, it is better to order through the Yandex. Taxi application, the trip will cost from 1800 rubles.

If you want to get there in comfort, you can book a ready-made tourist transfer on an individual car. It will cost a little more than a taxi ride, but the driver will meet you on arrival at the airport, and you can immediately go to the resort. If you decide to travel by bus or train, here are quick instructions for each of the airports:

• From Anapa airport

  You can get there with a transfer to the bus or train.

  To take the bus from the airport, you must first take the bus number 113 (former number 3) to Anapa bus station (runs once an hour from 08:30 to 19:30, 30 rubles, 45 minutes on the way). From the bus station to Taman twice a day at 07:00 and 13:15 there is a bus number 612, 2 hours on the way, the cost is 190 rubles. The schedule may change and sometimes flights are canceled, so you have to check on the spot.

  To get there by train, you also need to take bus No. 113 to Anapa railway station, from where three times a day at 09:18, 12:34 and 19:45 the train leaves for Taman-Passazhirskaya station (about this station below), the fare costs 370 rubles. The schedule may change, you can check here.

• From Krasnodar airport

  From Krasnodar you can get a transfer by bus or on passing trains. Buses from Krasnodar depart from two bus stations Krasnodar-1 and Krasnodar-2, see schedule here. In turn, getting to the bus stations from the airport will not be difficult on city buses or taxis, but this one should lay at least 1 hour in time.

  There are no trains to Taman from Krasnodar yet, but there are passing trains to Crimea that stop at Taman-Passazhirskaya station, you can check their schedule here.

• From Gelendzhik airport

  It is very inconvenient to get from Gelendzhik, since there is only one passing bus from Sochi, on which there may well be no seats, and in this case you will have to take a taxi.

By train to Taman

Since the opening of the railway connection through the Crimean Bridge to Taman, it has become possible to get by train, however, trains do not call at the resort itself, but make a stop at the Taman-Passazhirskaya station, which is located on the territory of Taman, 6 kilometers from the center (railway station on the map). Most trains going to Crimea stop here, and at the time of writing (2020) it can be reached from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kislovodsk, Yekaterinburg, Ufa, Samara, Saratov, Volgograd and other cities along the way. You can find out about the availability of trains from your city from the schedule at this station here, or look for tickets at official website of Russian Railways. Transportation on these routes is carried out by the company carrier Tavriya, while at the time of writing (2020), not all trains in these directions are displayed on the Russian Railways website, and even if Russian Railways shows that there are no flights or tickets, double-check on the carrier's website https://www.grandtrain.ru/.

By bus to Taman

In the center of Taman on Pushkin Street, 5 (bus station on the map) there is a small bus station, or rather, just a ticket office. It is open from 06:00 to 17:00 with two breaks 11:00-12:00 and 13:40-14: 10. It serves only intra-regional transportation (in the Krasnodar Territory), there are no bus flights from other regions. The bus schedule is not stable, besides, often even at the peak of the season, some flights are canceled. The exact online Schedule of buses to Taman does not exist, so before the trip it is better to clarify it by phone 8-918-120-21-82 or 8-86148-3-12-32.

By car

Of course, this is the best way to come to Taman on vacation. Here leads an excellent new highway E97, built before the Crimean Bridge. From Moscow and St. Petersburg, the route by car will pass through the M4 highway with paid sections, which, however, can be bypassed on free roads, which will take several additional hours in time. You can save about 900 rubles on a free road.

From regions to the East (Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Yekaterinburg, etc.) the path can be laid through Volgograd. After Volgograd, you can go to salsk, Rostov or Elista (a small detour). If you go via Elista we advise you to pause and see unique sights of Kalmykia, which will be enough for half a day.
