General information, Rest In Temryuk
Temryuk - a city on the Taman peninsula of Krasnodar Krai, the center of Temryuk district (Temryuk on the map). It is not a very large city, its population is a little more than 40 thousand people, but it is the largest city of the peninsula and the district.
The Taman Peninsula is attractive for tourists because its shores are washed by two seas at once – the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov. From here begins the road and railway bridge to the peninsula of Crimea. On the shores of the peninsula there are several popular beach resorts with wonderful sandy beaches.
But the city of Temryuk itself is not a resort, there are no beaches here. With a stretch can be attributed to the Temryuk Beach coast in the village of Golubitskaya. But with a stretch, not because the beach there is bad, just the opposite, but because it is located quite far from the city. Therefore, if you want to go to Temryuk for a beach holiday, it is worth staying in Golubitskaya, which is a full-fledged and most developed resort of the peninsula (see where it is better to stay in Golubitskaya here...). Accommodation directly in Temryuk is suitable only for a business trip or treatment.

Also in the city there are several attractions worth visiting from the resorts, these are: the Historical Museum, the Museum of military equipment, the mud volcanoes Miska and Hephaestus.
✔ Advantages of the resort
- The most developed and largest city of the district and Peninsula

❌ Cons of the resort
- No beaches
- Tourist infrastructure is not developed
Weather in Temryuk, tourist seasons
Recreation in Temryuk and neighboring resorts is seasonal. To go for a beach holiday here is only in the summer from May to September. At the same time, the warmest and most comfortable time is June-August, and this is the height of the beach season. Some vacationers come here in October, but in this case the success of the holiday will depend on luck, because the weather in this month in some years may be too cold.

Mud volcanoes
Akhtanizovskaya Sopka volcano Mud volcanoes are a rare geological formation. The terrain of the Taman Peninsula is rich in such formations, there are about a dozen of them here. Some of them are equipped for tourist visits for a fee, but there are also those that can be visited independently, and, in our opinion, they are even more interesting.
However, do not expect that you will see fountains of mud bursting out of the mouth. Although these formations do have a structure similar to Real lava volcanoes, in fact, most of them are Hills, on top of which volcanic mud flows out of the "vent" in a small stream. On some volcanoes, there may be several outflow sites, and some are in a "dormant" state, and may not spew anything at all when visiting. By the way, this mud is considered curative, and some volcanoes even equipped mud baths. Here are the most famous: Golubitsky volcano, Tizdar, Hephaestus or Rotten Mountain, Shugo, Azov hell or Plevak, Miska, Akhtanizovskaya Hill, Karsov, volcano in Taman. Learn more about mud volcanoes and how to get to them here..., and below read more about the most tourist.
🕐 Working hours: around the clock.
💵 Entrance fee / tickets price: part of the volcanoes are free, paid with mud treatment from 350 rubles.
