Agoy - a small village and seaside resort in Tuapse district. This is the closest to Tuapse resort village towards Jubgi, is located just 10 kilometers from the city (Agoy on the map) and is separated from it by a mountain range and the Agoi pass. Officially considered part of the locality Nebug which is located five kilometers away, but in fact it is an independent resort with its own beaches, infrastructure and recreation features. It is believed that it is here that the border of the subtropics of the Russian South passes, although in fact you will not feel the difference between the resorts north and south of Agoy.

AgoI is a typical quiet Black Sea beach village with pebble beaches. Compared to other resorts in the area between Dzhubga and Tuapse, there is the weakest tourist infrastructure, little entertainment, practically no attractions, no promenade and walking area. But a large number of accommodation options, including budget. The urban infrastructure is also not up to par, but along the main road there are several industrial goods stores, pharmacies, chain supermarkets "magnet" and "Pyaterochka", an ATM. On the way to the beach there are several tents and stalls with goods for recreation and fruit, fast food. In general, it should be understood that you will not feel the atmosphere of a fashionable resort in Agoy.

• There is no promenade, walking area.
• Tourist infrastructure is very poorly developed.
• Little entertainment, no attractions.
• Most of the accommodation options (hotels, guest houses) are far from the beach.

One of the most significant advantages of the resort is its proximity to the city of Tuapse, which is also an important transport hub. And the point is not only that it is convenient to arrive by train through Tuapse to Agoy, but also that from Tuapse by train you can quickly visit any of the resorts of Sochi up to Rosa Khutor (Krasnaya Polyana). At the very least, it is much faster than driving a car or bus along the Serpentine routes along the coast.

But the main disadvantage of rest in Agoy is an inconvenient approach to the beaches. More precisely, there is a problem with the passage to the beaches, since the zone along the coast is blocked by the territories of recreation centers, private properties and the local airport. Therefore, sometimes, to get from a certain part of the resort to the beach, you have to go through a whole maze of streets and houses. But even if you settle in a good place near the passage to the beach, there is a possibility that you will have to walk one and a half to two kilometers to it.

The beach in Agoy is long and theoretically completely public, unless you take into account the difficulties with access to the shore. There are small pebbles on the shore, you can even walk painlessly on it, although special shoes will not hurt. The entrance to the water is gentle, but the depth increases quickly.

Infrastructure on the beach is minimal. There are changing cabins and sun beds and umbrellas for rent (200 rubles/day), but only in certain parts of the beach near large recreation centers. Entertainment on the beach is absent, only sometimes during the peak season for a while there are trampolines, inflatable slides and simple water activities, but their presence is not guaranteed. In general, most of the beach here is more like a wild beach than a well-equipped resort.

The beach in Agoy is only pebbly, there is almost no sand. Within the village, it stretches for a kilometer, but does not end and stretches further on both sides for several more kilometers. The depth here is normal, not shallow. Already five meters from the shore, children will be on their shoulders, and adults can safely swim already ten meters away. To enter the water, it is better to wear beach shoes aquashuzes (you can buy them here on the market for 250 USD), without them a walk on large pebbles is quite painful.

On the shore there are cabins for changing clothes, sun beds and umbrellas for rent for 200 rubles. Most vacationers prefer to save on this and use their bedding. If you will do the same, we advise you to take something denser, so as not to lie on the stones. For example, a travel mat or air mattress fit perfectly.

The beach offers traditional beach entertainment, but their variety compared to neighboring resorts is not very large.

The main part of the accommodation options in Agoy are frequent accommodation, mini – hotels and private guest houses. There are several more rest homes of enterprises, but they settle mainly on trade union vouchers and from enterprises. For lovers of road trips there is an AutoCamp, but the prices for accommodation in a house and a private tent will cost as much as renting a room with amenities in a private house.

How to get there

Agoy is only 11 kilometers from Tuapse (Agoy on the map), and it is the most convenient resort on the coast between Tuapse and Dzhubga, which can be reached by train from other cities and regions through the railway station Tuapse. You can get here by plane through Krasnodar and Sochi, but after landing from the airport you will have to make a long way on the ground by taxi or buses. Well, the most convenient way to come to Agoy on vacation is by private car.

• By plane

  You can get to Agoi by plane through Krasnodar airport (160 kilometers, Airport on the map) or Sochi (150 kilometers).

  We do not recommend using Sochi airport, because it is inconvenient to get from it. Krasnodar Catherine II Airport (formerly called Pashkovsky airport) is much more suitable to get to Agoy. It operates many direct flights from Moscow and the regions. If there are no direct flights from your city, you can fly with a transfer in Moscow, and this is often even cheaper than directly.   Upon arrival from Krasnodar airport to Agoy, you can take a taxi for 3-4 hours and 4000 rubles. It will be much cheaper to travel by bus (from 400 USD), but you will have to make a transfer at the bus station in Krasnodar, which is why you will spend a lot of time and extra money.

• By train

  You can get to Agoy by train through Krasnodar or Tuapse. Obviously, it is much more convenient to go through Tuapse, because the railway station is only 10 kilometers away. The only case where you may need to travel by train to Krasnodar is if you can't find suitable tickets in Tuapse, as there are more to Krasnodar.

  Upon arrival at the railway station in Tuapse, Agoy can be reached by taxi for 300 rubles or by suburban bus for 29 rubles, only 20-40 minutes to go.

• By bus

  There is no bus station in Agoy, there are only two stops intended for suburban buses in the Tuapse district. Unfortunately, not all long-distance buses stop at them, so in some rare cases you will have to get to Tuapse, and there transfer to the return commuter bus to Agoy for 29 rubles, 20-30 minutes on the way.

  By long-distance buses you can get to Tuapse directly or with a transfer in Dzhubga at least from Astrakhan, Vladikavkaz, Essentuki, Kislovodsk, Kizlyar, Makhachkala, Mineralnye Vody, Pyatigorsk, Odessa, Sevastopol, Simferopol, Feodosia, Taganrog, Khasavyurt, Nalchik, Yalta, Rostov-On-Don. During the high season (summer), tourist flights from major cities of the European part of the Russian Federation are launched.

  Long-distance bus schedules can be viewed at rasp.yandex.ru and bus.tutu.ru, but not all flights are represented there, it is better to check at the ticket offices of your city or at local carriers and travel agencies. All routes in the Krasnodar Territory are on the website kpas.ru.

• By car

  By car from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Voronezh, Rostov-On-Don and other cities in the European part of the country it is better to go along the M4-don toll road. The cost of travel from Moscow will be from 1720 rubles, if you pay for travel with a contactless transponder. Attractions and entertainment, what to see

There are almost no attractions directly in the village and its immediate surroundings. If you really have nothing to do, you can walk or drive to the giant's Oak, Agoysky pass, go to the natural attractions of mouse holes and Kiselev Rock. All other interesting places are at a respectful distance from Agoy, and they will have to be visited independently by car or with excursions.

Speaking of excursions. They are sold here, but the number of offers and the variety of services is not as rich as in other more developed resorts of the Tuapse region. Distributors of excursions can be found on the beach, but, in our experience, they are not always there, it all depends on the season. Therefore, as an option, you can consider buying in Tuapse or Kaluga, where you can get by bus, or try to find excursions online on these sites:

Contrary to the descriptions of commercial guidebooks, describing Agoy as a very developed and entertainment-filled resort, in fact, everything is quite different: the resort is not rich in entertainment. Sometimes on the beach at the height of the season there are trampolines, water slides for children, banana rides, boat trips to the open sea and fishing are offered. But the availability of these entertainments is highly dependent on the season, so they are not guaranteed. There is nothing else of entertainment in the village, even simple attractions like shooting galleries and carousels for children.

But you can go by bus, taxi or private transport to neighboring villages or Tuapse, and have a little fun there. So, just five kilometers away in the village of Nebug there is a dolphinarium and a large water park. In Tuapse there is a small amusement park and a promenade. Well, if you wish, you can take the Lastochka train from Tuapse and get to the Sochi Resorts Lazarevskoye, loo, Sochi, Adler and others, where there are much more opportunities for entertainment.

• Giant oak

  It is believed that the giant oak or "thousand-year" oak is more than 800 years old, and it is even under state protection as a natural monument. Its dimensions are really impressive: the girth at the base of the trunk is about 6 meters. You can visit it completely free of charge.

• AgoI pass

  Ago pass is located on the ridge between Tuapse and ago, and is a kind of border between two geographical zones: temperate and subtropical. There is an observation deck, a war memorial, a restaurant and The Lost World rope park.

• Kiselyov Rock

  This rock is the most famous place near Agoy, it was here that the fishing scene in the famous Soviet film "diamond hand" was filmed. In general, it became famous and was named after the artist-peredvizhnik A. A. Kiselyov, who wrote several of his famous paintings here.

  The Rock is located right on the seashore and is a forty-meter vertical wall, covered at the top with dense vegetation. At its foot is a Pebble Beach.

  🚶 How to get there: located a little more than two kilometers along the Brega from Agoi towards Tuapse (Kiselev rock on the map. You can get from Agoi along the coast on foot, but in some places you have to overcome rocks and stones. On the way there and back on foot will take 2-4 hours, along the way you will pass by mouse holes and nudist beach. By bus you can get from Tuapse, Agoy and other resorts of the Tuapse region. Buses run about once an hour, travel from 15 rubles. You need to go out at the turn to the rocks near the sign "Tuapse", and then walk 2 kilometers on asphalt and primer. By private car you can get even closer, but the last 800 meters are still on foot. Just before the cliff there will be a steep descent to the shore, be careful. Also from Agoi and neighboring resorts, sea excursions to the rock with a rest on the beach are offered.

• Lost World rope park

  The rope park for adults and children is located in the forest on the Agoi pass. There are several trails of varying complexity, equipped directly on the trees in the natural environment. The passage of routes takes place after instruction and under the supervision of instructors. It is planned that laser tag will also appear here and "forest" quests will be developed.

  Unusual rock formations on the shore, which are a stone wall with openings in the form of huge holes (grottoes). They were formed due to weathering and leaching of softer rocks in dense rocks of presumably volcanic origin. Next to the mouse holes is a nudist camp.
