The besletsky bridge or the bridge of Queen Tamar across the Besletka River was probably built in the 11th-12th centuries. It led to a mountainous region and was of great strategic importance. This is the only architectural monument of that time, preserved in Abkhazia.
Not far from the bridge on the road along the river is Besletskaya HPP, which is also worth a visit. It is not an officially open attraction, but at the entrance the guard lets tourists who wish to inspect it. There is also a picnic area near the bridge.

The bridge is located in the vicinity of Sukhum, 9 kilometers away (Beslet Bridge on the map. You can get here by bus number 5A, which departs from the Central Market and goes along the streets of Lakoba, Akirtava, Chanba. Also, group excursions are taken to the bridge.
