Ngoc Huong Monastery (Ngoc Huong Monastery, Tinh xa Ngoc Huong) is a picturesque multi–level temple complex located on the slope of Nuino Mountain (Nui Nho). It is located on the road to Vung Tau Lighthouse, so it is simply impossible to pass by without noticing it. Although this place is not on the must-visit list, it can become an interesting point on the way to the lighthouse observation deck.
The entrance to the monastery is decorated with bright images of lotuses and Buddhas, which frame the gate on both sides. The special charm of this place is given by the blooming poinsettia trees, painted in shades from bright orange to rich red. Tourists often stop here to take photos for memory.
Tinh xa Ngoc Huong Monastery is a quiet and peaceful place with a vast territory. Walking along it will be a pleasure, although you will have to overcome several stairs connecting various buildings and pavilions. Each tower of the monastery is unique and reflects traditional Asian architectural features.
In the main temple there is a shrine of the complex – a statue of the reclining Buddha. On the territory you can also see many other statues depicting monks, bodhisattvas, as well as bas-reliefs and images on religious themes. A good view of the city opens from the upper platform of the monastery.

🚶 How to get there
The monastery is located on the slope of the mountain on the way to the Lighthouse, the entrance to it is possible from the streets of Dinh Tien Hoang St. and Hai Dang St. (monastery on the map). It is quite far from the center, it is better to get there by taxi or rented transport, but in principle it is possible on foot.
