Ham Rong mountain and Park

If you are staying only in Sapa and do not plan to participate in excursions outside the city, then Ham Rong mountain and Park (Ham Rong Mountain) will be a great option for exploring some of the local flora and fauna. At the foot of the mountain there is a beautiful park with gardens, an Orchid Park, artificial waterfalls, original sculptures, observation decks and recreation areas. There is even a children's playground, and at certain times tourists are shown a traditional show with dances and songs (3-4 times a day). Among the natural formations in the park are shallow caves and volcanic rocks of bizarre shape.

After a walk through the park, you can climb to the top of the mountain, which offers stunning views of Sapa and the surrounding area. But climbing it is not such an easy task. Most of the way passes though on convenient stairs and paths, but constantly leads up and down, and in general you have to climb to a height of about 100 meters. It is worth allocating at least 2 hours to visit the park, and if you decide to climb the mountain, then another 4 hours.

By the way, in winter (in January) the park sometimes even falls asleep with snow, and then exotic plants and palm trees look very bizarre, although there is no riot of colors and a variety of vegetation. Flowers in winter are almost all wilted.
