Next to the Ho Chi Minh Museum, across the street, there is a continuation of its exposition - Duc Thanh School. This Duc Thanh school is famous for the fact that in the period from September 1910 to February 1911, the first president of Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City, then known by another name, Nguyen Tat Thanh, taught.
It was built in 1907, and closed in 1912. In the 70s of the XX century, it was completely rebuilt, but retained its original appearance.
The school is surrounded by a small beautiful park. There is also a library building and other pavilions where you can see photos and belongings of the former president. There is a small photo exhibition in the park. Of particular interest is the preserved carom tree, which was cared for by Uncle Ho.
Although the school did not last very long, but thanks to its famous teacher, in 1986 it was recognized by local authorities as a national historical monument. During the visit, you can meet groups of young people here, for whom various events are held aimed at teaching the younger generation of Vietnam patriotism and awakening their national consciousness.

🚶 How to get there
Duc Thanh School is located in the center of Phan Thiet on the riverbank at 39 Trung Nhi (museum on the map). You can get to it from the center of Phan Thiet from Coop Mart on foot (walk a little more than a kilometer). In turn, you can get to the center of Phan Thiet to the Coop Mart shopping center from the resort area of Mui Ne by city bus No. 1 for 20,000 DONG.
