Puppet Theater on the water was originally a traditional peasant entertainment. Tired after exhausting work in the fields, the peasants entertained each other by showing a puppet show. Today, this show has become a real exotic and entertains tourists. In Hanoi for this purpose created a municipal theater Thang Long Water Puppet Theatre, which can be visited by anyone. For photo or video shooting, theoretically, you need to buy an additional ticket for 15,000 VND, but in practice, there is no control in the hall for shooting.

The show takes place every day in 15:00, 16:10, 17:20, 18:30 , 20:00. If you want to get to a strictly defined session, it is better to buy tickets a few hours before the start of the performance.
💵Entrance fee / ticket price
The cost of tickets varies depending on the place and starts from 200,000 VND for near seats (approximately 7.6 USD, see Vietnam's currency and exchange rate), 100,000 VND-distant places. If you want to make a video or photo, it is better to buy tickets for 200 000.

The theater is located at the northeastern tip of lakes of the returned sword, and is easily accessible from the tourist area on foot (Puppet Theater on the map of Hanoi), located at 40 Nha Chung, Hanoi.
