Ta Hien Beer Street is the most social and fun street in Hanoi. If you need a place to drink beer or something stronger, chat with other tourists or with local youth, find illegal substances, a girl or a boy, new friends – then you are right here. In other words, this is the main street of sins in Hanoi.
Here, of course, is not as large as on Thai Walking Streets, and even noticeably more modest than on Bui vien party street in Ho Chi Minh City, but it's also a lot of fun. The length of Ta Hien is only 150 meters and it is completely pedestrian. True, the street itself is very narrow and literally sandwiched between the tables of bars and nightclubs, so it's impossible to walk comfortably here: you'll have to literally squeeze through crowds of young people walking and break through the "barkers" to sit in their bar or club. So it's worth going here not for a walk, but purposefully in order to sit in one of the establishments.
As for the musical repertoire, here you will find everything from rock to progressive. But if you don't want to listen to the cacophony of music coming from different establishments, choose places where the dance floors go deeper from the street into the buildings.
The price of drinks and food in local bars seemed somewhat high to us here compared to Bui Vien Street in Ho Chi Minh City, and they are definitely higher than in neighboring non-party streets, but still not sky-high. For example, beer from 50,000 VND per mug (1.9 USD), cocktails from 100,000 (3.8 USD). At the same time, many establishments arrange Happy Hours promotions, when they give a third for free for the purchase of two mugs of beer, or two cocktails for the price of one. Just be careful and don't forget that in a fun frenzy you can lose self-control and leave everything here. Therefore, our advice is this: when going here "on a breakaway", take a limited amount of money with you.

Around the clock, but the most fun takes place from sunset (it's about 18 hours) until midnight. The street is especially active on weekends from Friday to Sunday.

🚶 How to get there
Ta Hien Beer Street is located in the tourist area of Hanoi and near the lake (Hanoi beer street on the map). You can get from anywhere in the tourist area on foot, from other areas you can take a taxi. If you are traveling alone, it is better to use a motorcycle taxi so as not to stand in traffic jams along the narrow streets of the tourist area.
