Description and is it worth a visit
Hanoi Museum was founded in 1982 to show the history of the capital from the founding of the city to the present day. The exposition is very rich, there are a lot of unique exhibits. Everything is divided into three parts: Natural History; the period before the August Revolution of 1945; the period after the August Revolution.
At the same time, there is not so much about the history of the city, and a considerable part of the exposition is occupied by works of art. This place is more focused on local residents and excursions of Hanoi schoolchildren, there are no signatures in English, so we would not recommend tourists to visit it in the first place. In addition, it is very far from the tourist area. On the other hand, if for some reason you find yourself near the museum, you can look, because its visit is free.
Keep in mind that things at the entrance need to be handed over to the storage room with rather flimsy boxes, but it is better not to leave valuables there.
