Xuan Huong (Xuan Huong Lake) is an artificial lake that appeared in the center of Dalat after the construction of the dam in 1919. The lake plays about the same importance for citizens and tourists as Lake of the Returned Sword in Hanoi is a favorite place for evening walks and local sports residents and tourists, we can say one of the places of tourist attraction. Here you can not only take a walk, but also swim on kayaks and catamarans. Next to the lake is the city square of Lam Vien, from here begins the street ĐườNg NguyễN thị Minh Khai, where the night market is open in the evenings, and the street itself will lead you to the main market of Dalat. In general, we can say that if the tourist heart of Dalat beats somewhere, it is around the lake.

The pond is surrounded by a pedestrian path and a green lawn around the perimeter, in several places there are beautiful gardens with flower beds. There are benches for rest, but there are not many of them. In the evenings, local hawkers appear on the shore offering simple food cooked on coals (sweet potatoes, corn, sausages and rice cakes with different fillings "ban seo"), tea and coffee from drinks. You can sit on a mini-stool and have a snack overlooking the lake.

Gorgeous views open in calm and clear weather, when the blue sky and green shores are reflected in the lake – it looks very beautiful and poetic. A great place for photo shoots.

Next to the lake is the City Square of Lam Vien with a large shopping center, supermarket, cafes, restaurants and entertainment center.

At the lake you can meet local private guides, even more likely they will come to you themselves. These are the so-called Easy Riders, who offer ready-made options or individually organize preferred excursion routes for you and will accompany you. Their excursions usually take place on motorcycles, where you can be a passenger or driver of a motorcycle rented by you, depending on the possibilities. The price of the tour depends on your wishes and is negotiated in advance. In order to attract attention and endear themselves, during the conversation, the guides show books with enthusiastic reviews of their clients. We noticed a lot of reviews in Russian as well. Believe them or not - it's up to you. However, we note that in Dalat such tours are sometimes the only opportunity to see interesting sights in the city and the surrounding area, as it will not be easy to find excursion agencies and offers on the streets. And the offers of booking sites do not cover all natural and cultural places.
