Description and is it worth a visit
Linh Son Pagoda (also Linh Son Pagoda, Linh Son Pagoda) – located about 20 minutes walk from Xuan Huong Lakes and The central market, it's about 25 minutes on foot. You can visit it only on your own, it is not included in group excursions. So you can safely call this place low-tourist, and that's very good, because it's almost always quiet and sparsely populated.
The temple is located on a low hill surrounded by pine and cedar trees. No significant historical events are connected with this place, and nothing special, except for the typical East Asian architecture, pleasing to the eye, this pagoda is not remarkable. However, outwardly it looks very picturesque and is worth a visit if you have free time.
The Linh Son Pagoda Pagoda was built, according to various sources, from 1936, then from 1938 to 1940 with funds donated by Buddhists from all over the world. In the main hall there is a bronze statue of Buddha Shakyamuni weighing 1250 kg. The courtyard of the pagoda is very beautifully decorated, where you can go through the main temple. The courtyard is well maintained, decorated with miniature bonsai trees, there is a small pond with water lilies and goldfish. In the center there is a tower, in the design of which thousands of pieces of ceramic dishes are used. The temple has the main religious attributes on both sides: a tower with a bell on the right and a drum on the left.
The place attracts not only tourists out of curiosity to look at the beautiful temple. Pilgrims choose it for conducting meditations and reading the Dharma. And not by chance, because the main provincial Buddhist school and college is located here, so during our stay, children were playing in the square in front of the main temple, and children's voices were heard everywhere. This pagoda is also a venue for charity events and celebrations.
